You said NOTHING when Russia annexed Crimea. You say nothing about the Russian agents and operators being sent in to Ukraine.
But you care about the people of E.Ukraine who are illegally having a referendum and illegally inside of government buildings.
Face facts. You support the jack boot of Russian foreign policy. You don’t care a peep about the Ukrainian people.
Pretty sad day when cabinet members have to wear masks so they aren’t targets as has been thus far.....though I don’t call them Pro-Russians...for the referendum isn’t about going with Russia...it’s about self determination...rather like our states are here in the US. The Eastern Ukraines are all about local governance...and the freedom to have such independent of Kiev’s “ruling” everything.
I don’t know about the flag...I suspect a search on google might reflect better...
Also, the people there aren’t always familiar with what flags are what, most people in the world aren’t for that matter......we’ve seen this on occasion....so sometimes it’s going to be wrong or out of sink.
Looks to me like the toothpaste is out of the tube and there’s no putting it back in - this thing is going to play out how it’s going to play out - too much blood has been spilt for the sides to make up and play nice.
As for the buildings...well ‘they ARE the peoples buildings’...the Political Officers within are simply serving time on behalf of the people. Up to them what they choose to do with those who serve there.
I laugh about you using the word “legal” in Ukraine Politics....they are ‘all’ now operating outside of ‘any’ constitution. That became null and void when Maidan stormed the Gov. and Overthrew a “legally” elected Pres...in a violent coup. Like him or not he was the sitting President. Few, including Putin, liked the Pres. as he played both sides of the EU/Russian issue for his own personal gain and that of those he had in office around him. But again...he was the sitting President just the same.
It's not a matter of whose Foreign Policy I favor or not.....it is however understanding the culture and the people in Ukraine, Russia, and that part of the country who do not ‘do politics’ as we do, nor can they with out a long period of adjustment and time to acclimate to what works for them. I do believe "Republics" have the best Governance however...and for that have no problem at all being in Eastern Ukraines court to have just that. It works pretty good here when the states demand their rights on issues...which might oppose the Federal Gov.

Yes, I’ve done that as well...especially when things are moving right along...but I recall on the Egyptian thread there were those who would cross check and it worked very well ...I think there were several who if something didn’t seem right or needed to be clarified kind enough to make it known. So don’t be too hard on yourself....
Especially....since the article WAS being presented to make it appear as if present day news......though I do visit some of the foreign reporter sites I understand their bias and am careful (usually) to take that into account in HOW they Frame their reporting.
This is why photos and videos are good ...eventually they bring together a “picture” of truth regardless of how either side might present their report. And you get to tell what ones are photoshopped or altered as well.
I messed up posting an old photo when they shot down the helicopter.....many did post that very picture unfortunately....but the FACT was they indeed did take a helicopter down..so in cases as that I don’t fret over a wrong photo...because the right one gets posted soon enough, and did not alter the fact.
No...but I can’t always playback what I’ve seen unless something triggers it. However Nulands credibilty is shot on the International Level and among her peers in the EU. So I don’t pay her much mind.
Rather like Obama saying of Kiev’s Coup Government recently...”Dully elected”!!!! The foreign news had a ball with that one though of course the US media was silent on it for the most part.
It was reported to mod by one of our dear Russian phobics we are graced with here on FR. But I have to admit...it was pretty raw, but saw no other way to present ‘with clarity’ the facts on the ground...knowing it might be pulled. It was one of the burned bodies from Odessa Fire at the Trade Center.
