Will he join Al Franken in the “TV has-been Caucus?”

We are now a nation that elects mindless celebrities to make the most crucial decisions that affect everyone. Whether it’s a brain-addled wrestler, or a bonehead steroid-doped Austrian, we’ll never learn.

Yes. Is there anyone anywhere left, that would vote for any candidate that plops himself on a Democrat ticket? Gack!

This is just lovely. Clay Aiken, an archetype of the "Entertainment-as-Reality" culture, vs. incumbent Republican Rep. Rene Elmers, who started well but has "gone-Potomac" over the Chamber of Communists' drive for open borders.

With a difficult race against fellow Democrat Keith Crisco, he also risks ending up in the same place that he earned from "American Idol" viewers: runner up. and that's also what he placed on Celebrity Apprentice...

Actually, Clay is a very intelligent man with a degree in Special Ed teaching. However, I don’t trust his motives for running for office since he is part of the LGBT crowd and have suspicions that his attempt to get into Congress is to further their agenda. He is funny and very articulate, but the bottom line is that he’s a Democrat.

given how it has come out that the American idol voting was rigged and that the whole contest was fixed, I suspect he has no fans.

Having a degree in special ed doesn’t make you intelligent. In fact if he was intelligent he wouldn't be a Rat. In addition, I don't think he's the least bit funny or articulate.

Will he join Al Franken in the TV has-been Caucus? Does that include honorary members Sonny Bono, Fred Grandy, and Fred Thompson?

I don’t believe that Clay is as intelligent as you think. Many performers have street smarts to pull off what they need to do to fool the gullible, but when it comes to long-term, substantive problems-solving skills, they are novices. I don’t think he’s all that articulate, and his swishy mannerisms are a complete turn-off to many Americans. You’d think that a great communicator could tune that trait down.

we have also elected a lot pod mindless non-celebrities. But your point is well taken. Every Hollywood and now NC face thinks they have something important to say.
To: fwdude
You are entitled to your opinion, just as I am. I would never vote for him, however. He is a DEM because he is gay. Enuff said!

I’d laugh, but Al Franken is a U.S. Senator, and leads by double digits in his re-election bid.
