When Emily Letts got pregnant, she knew she would get an abortion. Then she decided to film it. Letts, 25, is an abortion counselor at Cherry Hill Womens Center in New Jersey, which is where she had her abortion. The non-graphic video focuses on her face and shows her breathing and humming through the procedure. The doctor on the other side of the sheet is out of view. When she entered the Abortion Care Networks Stigma Busting video competition and won, the video went viral. Here, she explains why she decided to share her experience so publicly.

I found out I was pregnant in November. I had been working at the clinic for about a year. It was my first pregnancy, and, full disclosure, I hadn't been using any kind of birth control, which is crazy, I know. Im a sex educator, and I love talking about birth control. Before this experience, hormonal birth control scared me because of complications Id heard about from friends gaining weight, depression, etc. So I tracked my ovulation cycle, and I didnt have any long-term partners. I thought I was OK. But, you know, things happen. I wound up pregnant.

Once I caught my breath, I knew immediately I was going to have an abortion. I knew I wasnt ready to take care of a child. The guy wasnt involved in my decision. I called my supervisor and said, Excuse me, I am going to need to schedule one abortion, please. It was very early in the pregnancy, only two to three weeks.

I had spent so long in the trappings of competition with other women and putting too much pressure on myself that I just wanted to help women.
Help them to end the lives of their own children.
Then, as excerpted above, she admits that she was a big advocate of birth control...for other women. Not for her. Nope. She heard of too many negative side affects. Her rationale was that she charted and didn't enter long term relationships. What? You can't get pregnant in a short term relationship? The father of this child wasn't involved in her decision according to the article, so I'll make a guess the father didn't even know. The bottom line is that this poor child never asked to be here. The child is here because her (and the father's) actions put the child there, and then she decided to kill the child.
Patients at the clinic always ask me if I can relate to them have I had an abortion? Do I have kids? I was so used to saying, Ive never had an abortion but
Now you can, right?
I searched the Internet, and I couldnt find a video of an actual surgical procedure in the clinic that focused on the womans experience. We talk about abortion so much and yet no one really knows what it actually looks like.
There is still no video of an actual procedure from the abortion crowd. How about you show the actual abortion, this including them piecing the baby parts together after to make sure it's all out.
I wanted to show it wasnt scary and that there is such a thing as a positive abortion story. Its my story.
Not positive for the child killed.
She says the clinic was supportive of her filming it but was concerned that pro-lifers might protest at the door or make "bomb threats." She then says that working at an abortion clinic is like working in a "war zone." I'll agree with her there...but for a different reason.
My jaw dropped when I read this:
I knew the cameras were in the room during the procedure, but I forgot about them almost immediately. I was focused on staying positive and feeling the love from everyone in the room. I am so lucky that I knew everyone involved, and I was so supported. I remember breathing and humming through it like I was giving birth. I know that sounds weird, but to me, this was as birth-like as it could be. It will always be a special memory for me. I still have my sonogram, and if my apartment were to catch fire, it would be the first thing I'd grab.
There is so much wrong with this. So much. It was all about here. She felt supported and loved, and it really didn't matter what happened to her child. However, she calls the whole thing "birth-like," a "special memory," and wants her sonogram if there is a fire.
In her video (which I will link to below), she says, "I don't feel like a bad person; I don't feel sad; I feel in awe of the fact that I can make a baby. I can make a life. I knew that what I was going to do was right cause it right for me and no one else." That is true. It was right for no one else. Me me me me me me. This woman is a doula. She knows what was in her was a person, and she admits it, but that wasn't enough to stop her from killing it. She's happy with her decision:
Still, every time I watch the video, I love it. I love how positive it is. I think that there are just no positive abortion stories on video for everyone to see. But mine is.
Guilt, she says, is not evidence of wrongdoing but rather manufactured by society. Society makes women feel guilty, not the fact they just ended the lives of their child.
I hope someday her delusional bubble bursts, and she realizes what she's done, but it sounds like she already knows and doesn't care, is even proud.
She should have aborted HERSELF I would have had more respect for her. She is filth, pure filth..no amount of praying can change someone who has pure evil in their soul
Evil is everywhere.
Maybe she’ll have a web cam in Hell.....
Yikes.
It’s ALL about themselves........I wouldn’t be surprised to learn this woman has it posted in her Facebook page.
I think there might be one out there called 'Silent Scream', by Bernard Nathanson. I have no interest in watching it (his book was tough enough to get through), but it might have been useful for this lady to have perused through it before taking a life.
Only someone with deep rooted evil would film a murder and brag about it on the internet.
Compare that to this remarkable story. Teenager is raped in 1928. Has baby. Gives it up for adoption. Meets her daughter 77 years later. One of the first things she finds out is that she has one grandson who went to West Point and another who flew four space missions for NASA.

Snuff film. Please tell me why pro-lifers shy away from prosecuting the ACTUAL evil, the women undergoing abortion? They should be the first ones to be in jail.
“Emily Letts” anyone give her the LD, then she films herself getting an abortion. What a whore!
A lot of pride in murder.
The blood and filth that these freaks wallow in as this holocaust drags on and on....
That it could actually be a platform in their death party’s organization would seem unimaginable, if it weren’t real.
All we see in this video is this fool, covered with a sheet, humming?
So, how do we know this wasn’t simply staged? Hollywood is notorious for helping libs stage stunts like this.
I believe that the last 4 decades of a cavalier attitude towards debauchery, out of wedlock pregnancy by multiple partners and abortion for convenience has had a devastating effect on our traditional maternal & paternal self discipline.
If you just scan the headlines today, there are appalling numbers of cases documenting parental neglect, abuse and infanticide by mothers, fathers and step-parents.
I cannot remember ever witnessing such rampant murder of children and teens by their parents or other family members before abortion became acceptable. Never, ever.
You filmed it because you are sick and everything is about you
Jesus, please come back soon.
I pray that sometime in the future she realizes the evil of abortion and prays for forgiveness from God and the child she murdered.
Silent Scream is still availble....and a few, more graphic others.....Dr. Nathanson, himself performed thousands of abortions. (and videotaped some)......before he repented and became pro-life.
But don’t expect to see any graphic abortion footage on ANY network......
......because if people see it.....it might change their minds
.....and the ‘powers that be’ who control the abortion industry will fight to keep the reality away from the viewing public.
She murdered her child. She won’t be smiling for long.
