TX runoff is May 27.

I am voting all Republican but skipping Cornball and George P., not voting Democrat there, just skipping it.

Many of you will bemoan Tillis’ nomination, I must disagree. Tillis is nothing close to the RINO monster his detractors portray him as, he had a record of conservative accomplishment. Brannon seems like an L. Ron Paul type to me, I think he would have had a hard time in November. This is good news for taking back the Senate.

Walter Jones wins, too bad.

Boner wins in a walk, foregone conclusion, at lot of people are complaining like they thought the race was competitive, it wasn’t.

Congressman David Joyce (OH-14) won a closeish race over State Rep. Matt Lynch. Joyce appears to be a RINO (40% ACU rating for what’s it’s worth, it’s hard to take the ACU seriously when they post their ratings sideways, Govtrack calls him a centrist). This was the race in Ohio that was competitive, and I at least heard almost nothing about it, instead of tilting at windmills (Boner) there should have been more focus on this one.

David Rouzer (NC-7) is Congressman-elect, our #1 easiest pickup.

NC-6, going to runoff, I haven’t closely examined the candidates. Prosecutor (Berger) versus Pastor (Walker). Berger’s daddy is the President Pro Tem of the State Senate. A Berger PAC called “Keep Conservatives United” attacked all the other candidates. Walker was planning on running even if old man Coble had run again and had tea party support. At first glance I’d lean Walker.

Indiana, absolutely nothing of interest other than the fact the rats didn’t put up a candidate for Mourdock’s open State Treasurer seat.

Oh I forgot, Clay Aiken is narrowly ahead of the democrats preferred choice to lose to Renene Ellmers. LOL.

The selfish lazy and ignorant Republican voters, whose world will explode if they miss 30 minutes of reality TV to do research, will get their own Special Ed election, as Ellmers faces Clay Aiken

How is Tillis on gun rights and immigration? Is he for securing the borders?

Are you implying that it would have been wiser to donate money to viable candidates running against RINOs, such as the conservatives challengers who fell just short of beating RINOs Walter Jones and David Joyce, rather than wasting on a nobody like Eric Gurr with no chance of defeating John Boehner? But, but, without all that money that FReepers sent Gurr he wouldn’t have been able to get 6% of the vote.

Look at his website.

Thom believes we must provide border patrol agents with the additional resources, personnel, and technology needed to effectually protect us and keep out those who want to do us harm, those who are transporting narcotics, and those who would break our laws. Thom opposes amnesty and he believes Congress should solve our border security crisis now - before it even debates any other changes to our immigration laws. -”<<<<

Regarding the RKBA, since becoming Speaker in early 2011, Thom Tillis has shepherded several pro-gun bills through the NC House that became law, making him the bane of gun-grabbers. Tillis doesn’t just claim to be pro-gun; he has the record to prove it.

OH, AWESOME.

Hey what are the chances that NC will be passing some laws like recently enacted in Georgia or having already be the case here in FL? Like being able to carry in a restaurant that serves alcohol as long as you don't sit at the bar or being able to carry in a movie theatre? I plan on retiring to NC in just a few years. Like less than five years. I'd like to feel as safe as I do here in Miami. And as long as I can carry, I feel pretty safe! LOL

NC already allows CCW in a bar as long as you don’t drink.
The movie theater was in the original bill, but I don’t know if it made it to the final bill.
This all happened last year.

Brannon was my preference, but Tillis is a good candidate.

With Thom Tillis at the top of the pack, gaining the Republican primary victory last night in North Carolina, the Republican primary had a total of 555,000 votes. Kay Hagan, the Democrat, Obamabot winner of her Democat primary received 477,000 votes for all three candidates running in the Democrat Primary.

This result does not bode well for Ms. Hagan. Of course, this is just but one demographic, but I believe Thom Tillis will win a majority of Independent votes and a fair smattering of minority votes also. IMHO....Mr. Tillis will win by a comfortable margin, provided he begins to campaign like his life depended on his win!!!

I suggest all voters in the State of North Carolina vote for Thom Tillis and all Republicans. I have a feeling now that after last night North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, Texas & Florida will all go heavily “Red” come November, 2014. It is certainly up to us, “the good guys & gals” to make it happen....by simply supporting our primary chosen ticket. Vote on Election Day, November, 2014 to politically destroy/defeat the “Hate America” POTUS Obama and his entire Democrat Party,

What if most Democrat votes assumed Hagan would win and didn’t bother?

One thing to remember about last night’s races however, disappointing as some of them were, is that the Tea Party candidates were largely unknown and campaigned on a small fraction of the funding available to their GOP establishment counterparts. Also, the Tea Party candidates really didn’t have the benefit of receiving any high profile endorsements (other than Senate hopeful Greg Brannon’s endorsement from Rand Paul, which I think may have come a bit too late in the game).

I think the most important races to watch are the Tea Party candidates backed by the Senate Conservatives Fund (i.e. - Bevin, KY; Sasse, NE; Maness - LA; Wolf - KS; Shannon - OK; McDaniel - MS; Ernst - IA, etc.). These candidates are receiving a lot more national attention and therefore are bringing in some substantial outside campaign donations. And I don’t care what the media or the pundits say... I think Lindsey Graham could be in for a dog fight in his South Carolina primary race as he is currently polling just below the 50% vote threshold needed to avoid a runoff. I would LOVE to see SC cut the cord with this RINO turd and nominate a true conservative replacement!
