Jerry seems to have a cranium stuck in rectal sphincter issue. A US police state getting more lethal and more out of control by the day and ole Jerry thinks we citizens no longer need firearms. Really Jerry??!!

He should just move to Mexico where gun ownership is illegal for just about everyone, that way he can avoid all the gun violence.
Exactly. No gun violence in Mexico at all.

There's nothing stupider on Planet Earth than a liberal.

Liberal Logic: Make guns illegal because then criminals won't dare break the law by using them to commit crimes.

End of the Human Race: Liberals are allowed to vote.

the article is barely laughable, as it sounds as if an elementary school child wrote this piece. This is a journal entry at best, elevated to “news” article. Bravooo Mr. Large, riveting..
Another cock crowing about gun violence in the city..gun suicide..the reforming of our guns with common sense???...just another mindless earthling that must ‘cry out’ along with the rest of the needy collective, letting no crisis go to waste??
Well done, now march on to your next ordered crisis, your loyalty to the Crown will be noted
.

The chances of them winning, in today’s climate, is about 0.01%. Before Obama it was closer to 2% - but Obama created a brand new class of gun owners and DESTROYED their chances of having any chance at all to change the Constitution, that’s why I much prefer to see them fighting at that level, rather than undermining it in the courts.

the constitution does not give us that right... it enumerates it... it is inalienable. mr. large, compensating for something, cannot take it away.

“They were smart men but niether perfect nor prescient.”

No one is perfect, but the Founding Fathers were certainly prescient: they knew that tyranny would always exist and rear its ugly head when conditions were ripe.

They also knew that pieces like this, from whatever press, would be written by those with totalitarian tendencies.

IMHO

I don’t believe the Second Amendment was ever intended to support the kind of gun craziness we contend with today, but since it’s always used to ward off any common-sense gun reforms

Logical rebuttal: Put down the crack pipe and step back. IIA didn't prevent NFA, or CGA 1968, or 1986, or even the UBC bill the false-flagger in chief tried to ram though after Newtown (that was averted politically, not constitutionally).

Practical political rebuttal: In most ways firearm legislation, especially at the state level has been trending toward sanity over the past few decades, even awash as we are in anti-rights fascists. What do you think the odds are of legally revoking Constitutional recognition of one of the most important civil rights? Like 1 in 10^12 or something?

Probably cheered when Obama said “I have a phone and I have a pen”. Executive orders can cure all of society’s ills.

Paul Begala for the 21st century. There's tons of countries headed by dick-taters; if these guys think it's such a hot ticket why not just move there rather than fight an uphill battle to bring it here?

Yes... right after The Second Civil War... and the liberal side can repeal the Second Amendment.

The Conservative side will win. Big time...

Yeah, it was the Forehead who said, “Stroke of the pen, law of the land. Kinda cool.”

Kinda fascist, IMO.

Because the dictator jobs are all filled already in those other countries, and our wannabe's would get skinned alive and shot if they applied for them.

And to think, in 1962 Thomas J Dodd and Emaual Cellar proposed the first federal law on common firearms.

1962; “We don’t want to take away your guns, we ONLY want to register handguns! Rifles and shotguns will not be affected”.

1964: “We only want to register all your guns, not ban them! Only Army surplus guns will be banned.”

1968: “We only want to register your guns, and ban “Saturday Night Specials” and small foreign handguns along with army surplus rifles!” (They got the ban on 5 shot army surplus rifles and handguns and small foreign pistols)

1970: “We only want to ban Saturday night specials! Large handguns and rifles will not be affected!”

1971: “According to the Miller Decision of the SCOTUS, RIFLES are protected by the 2nd Ammendment, handguns are not!”

1976: “We only want to ban all handguns! Long guns will not be affected!”

1981: “The NRA is a rifle organization! They should give up their handguns, and they can keep their rifles!”- Lee Grant on GMA

1984: “We must ban “assault Rifles, unsuitable or hunting!”

1989: George Bush bans import of some foreign made “assault rifles”.

1992: Assault rifle ban passed by Clinton.

2000: first calls to ban single shot .50 cal rifles...

And they continue to try to fool everyone.

Sure there is. A liberal's kid.

Especially when you get down to the third and fourth generation; now you're talking civic vegetal matter.
