Newly-released documents reveal direct White House involvement in steering the public narrative about the September 11, 2012 terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Libya, toward that of a spontaneous protest that never happened.
One of the operative documents, which the government had withheld from Congress and reporters for a year and a half, is an internal September 14, 2012 email to White House press officials from Ben Rhodes, President Obama’s Assistant and Deputy National Security Advisor. (Disclosure:Ben Rhodes is the brother of David Rhodes, the President of CBS News, where I was employed until March.) In the email, Ben Rhodes lists as a “goal” the White House desire “To underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure or policy.”
The email is entitled, “RE: PREP CALL with Susan, Saturday at 4:00 pm ET” and refers to White House involvement in preparing then-U.S.Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice for her upcoming appearance on Sunday television network political talk shows.
The Rhodes email states that another “goal” is “To reinforce the President and Administration’s strength and steadiness in dealing with difficult challenges.”

The attack in Benghazi unfolded in the afternoon and early evening in Washington.
Either we’re to believe the Whote House directed the Benghazi narrative OR Obama said “...screw it...it’s fish taco night and we’re watching Shrek II”. Which is worse? The White House is sticking with the latter.
Checked and found nothing. Searched Albany Times Union for “sharyl attkisson” nothing shows up under her byline or in reference to Benghazi and CBS censorship.
Not surprising, for an organization that made a deal with Mayor Willie Brown of San Francisco whereby they (Hearst) would support his reelection campaign if he would not object to the Hearst take over of a rival paper.... transcript of 1999 court case.
I keep thinking of that phrase, “It’s not the crime, it’s the coverup”.
I disagree that Boner is spineless. He sticks up for what he believes in (big government) despite what his constituents want.
Saw an amazing thing this a.m. cbs actually covered the released emails. cbs did try to cover-up as much as possible with their reporting but the emails were covered. cbs is caught in a catch 22 for this scandal from what can determine. Two brothers exist, iirc, one being the president of cbs and the other wrong some of the emails. cbs has been a participant in the cover-up of the cover-up is what floats to the surface (imho).
Boehner and the GOP [including the treasonous McCain]
are part of the story ... and the coverup.

Saw reports of the relationship on some of the alternate Internet News outlets and an overnight talk shows, NOT George Noorey’s Wacko-to-Wacko AM.
Probably never surface in the Albany Time Union until the Obama Propaganda Machine has fine tuned it retort, “WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE NOW, etc, etc,
If it isn’t Pro-Obama, Pro-Black or Pro-Gay the Times Union does not cover. Lots of coverage re Sterling, none about Sharpton/as Racist; NAACP/as Racist; SPIKE LEE/as Racist.
