Yes, but there are millions of “negroes” who take advantage of their freedom and work, with millions in their own business. So Cliven generalized about a minority of blacks which sounded quite racist.
(Keep in mind that while "Negro" is a racial term, like "Caucasian", it is not racist.)
Do you have the data to compare the numbers? (I, admittedly do not know how many are employed in their own business versus in prison or on the dole). The only numbers I have seen show that black males are disproportionately represented in the ranks of the unemployed and those in prison, but not as CEOs of Fortune 500 companies.
Cliven's generalizations are true enough for a multitude, and those are the people he was referring to--those on the Democrat Plantation.
