"That's exactly what I said. I said I'm wondering if they're better off under government subsidy, and their young women are having the abortions and their young men are in jail, and their older women and their children are standing, sitting out on the cement porch without nothing to do, you know, I'm wondering: Are they happier now under this government subsidy system than they were when they were slaves, and they was able to have their family structure together, and the chickens and garden, and the people had something to do? And so, in my mind I'm wondering, are they better off being slaves, in that sense, or better off being slaves to the United States government, in the sense of the subsidies. I'm wondering. That's what. And the statement was right. I am wondering."

And for you to call him that indicates to me which side you’re on...

I supported Bundy since the beginning. And he is a dumb jerk for making such an asinine statement that the Corporate Media and Uncle Scam are going to use the bury not only Bundy but all of our property rights.

I do agree that it was wrong to kill his cattle and evidently they killed at least a few.
This is something that should concern everybody regardless of what you think of Bundy as a person.

"The Tea Party and all “like” freedom causes will be cast into that net.

Starting to wish he never spoke. Grrrrrr"

The Tea Party and all "like" freedom causes have already been cast into that net, long before anybody ever heard of Bundy. I could not care less about Bundy's views on things. He and I probably don't see eye-to-eye on a number of things. The issue is Harry Reid's views, and his abuse of BLM resources to line his own pockets.

I’m arguing it on a liberal site as I type this. One of the guys is absolutely hung up on his use of the phrase “pick cotton”. I explained what he probably meant (get a job) and also included his clarification posted here.

When they are forced to deal with a parsing of his statement, they are left clutching at red herrings.

He is not justifying slavery. He’s asking a question. Are they better off under the slavery of the old days or the slavery of today?

And, by the way, the Democrat Party was the primary supporters of the old slavery and is the primary cause of today’s slavery.

Just send the photos to the New York Times without giving them the backstory and before you know it they’ll report this town is a hotbed of racism, abuse of women and homophobia.

You mean like having no choice in paying tax after tax on the earnings you make to provide a better life for your family and the endless piles of regulation to try and prevent you from working for yourself (my American dream)???

Ha! Excellent counter! And spot on.

The question is are welfare blacks better off now than their ancestors were under slavery? And the question is open as there is no answer that rigorously addresses the question.

Holder was reported to have claimed that whites are cowards in avoiding issues of racism. Bundy’s ‘wonderings’ are a direct contradiction of Holder’s claim.

So how is that better having your government telling you that you cannot fend for yourself. That you need their largesse to survive.

That you willingly CHOOSE the plantation. That you collar yourself...

You are no less a slave.

Bundy isn’t the most articulate, but his sentiments are in no way “Racist”.

“How to you know how most slaves were treated?”

Human beings owned as property, from birth, with no rights or legal recourse.

Once alloidal title to property was voided, we all rent our property.

And those of us who work are wage slaves.

What’s happening in the West is wrong. I don’t want the Chinese or anyone to move in and bring their people, equipment, and intelligence operatives with them. Talk about slave wages.

The government is still doing illegal things in the dark. Bundy is just speaking his mind in the light. Beck is a loser to fall for the trap of ignoring government pseudo official executive back channels done in the dark.

Man people are stupid. NSA CIA Beck... who would have thought. Might as well be racist media KGB hypocrite himself.

People are too stupid to correlate that idea. Language comprehension has shrunk to concrete interpretations only. I see it in my children they cannot take anything away from a conversation that deals with any abstraction or euphemism.

It was 2-3 minutes in the middle of an hour long video. He was making the point that the FedGov’s policies keep numerous groups in poverty and under their control.

He’s right. Not very PC, but we shouldn’t be enforcing PC crap anyway.

The Bundy’s still have my support.
