Nah, they wouldn’t lose their cushy jobs. They’d be given paid administrative leave (known as extra paid vacation time to we non federal employees) followed later by promotions, awards and plum assignments.
Saw a story today on tv where a significant number of IRS employees who owe substantial amounts of tax to the fed gov are receiving work-related bonus checks.
