The Republican-controlled Missouri House will begin impeachment proceedings against Democratic Gov. Jay Nixon on Wednesday. Why? There are three reasons, according to the state legislature's judiciary committee. First, Nixon allowed legally-married same-sex couples in the state to file joint tax returns in order to keep the state consistent with the IRS's post-Defense of Marriage Act policies. Second, Republicans argue Nixon took too long to call a special election to replace legislative vacancies. Third, Republicans believe that Nixon didn't punish state officials enough over a controversy involving concealed carry permits.

DC will send Biden and the liberal MSM over to harass him soon enough.
The House of Representatives in DC should NOT impeach Obama.
Machiavelli said it very well when he said Never do an enemy a small injury.
We often say it like this: “If you’re going to shoot at the king, make certain you do not miss.”
If the Republicans in the House of the Missouri legislature think they can do this, they better be sure they can prosecute in the Senate. Or at least have a strong case to be successful.
Criminal prosecutors do this all the time: they ONLY take cases to court they believe they can bring to conviction. Otherwise they are wasting resources.
JMHO.
’ Otherwise they are wasting resources. ‘
Correction, ‘otherwise they are ruining they’re winning record’, as heard outside of court not too long ago from a prosecutor talking about his son’s prosecutorial record.
From the picture, Nixon does look a bit “light on his feet”. If so, then he DESERVES what’s coming to him.
I wonder if Hillary will help write up the articles of impeachment for THIS Nixon? ;)
The third issue- release of CCW data to the feds (SS and FBI)is of most import to me. The state law prohibits the release of any CCW information except to a court, or LEO for information in an actual investigation into that specific person or persons. Not a generic list of all 200k+ Missourians who happen to have a CCW endorsement.
The reason for the HP release to the feds was supposedly to check if any CCW types had criminal or mental health prohibitions ( but then that would have been found by the NCIS and local checks requirement for the CCW in the first place, ya think?)
Now, the CC laws are changed, not even our own city, county or state LEOs have access to any CC information ( used to be included into the MO Uniform Law Enforcement System Database ( MULES) so a quick check of name etc would reveal CC status. Now, all data is held locally by the county sheriff and is not transmitted anywhere else, except in time of an actual arrest and or investigation into a specific citizen, on a court order.
MO is getting it right(er). Now to work on Constitutional Concealed Carry!
