The guy in NJ was an idiot for “forgetting”. The Florida man simply made the mistake of driving his own car on a family trip out of state—which always draws attention of the busy body cops, who then ran his plate and found out about his CCP in FL.
Only reason I mentioned it, was because it was sort of similar with the whole out-of-state gunowner traveler harrassment.
Conservatives should avoid the NE like the plague, but if you must go—check your baggage...pretty please.
Even that is no guarantee of saving your bacon. If your planned trip is interrupted by weather or mechanical delays, the airlines will give you your checked luggage (they will NOT agree to hold it for the next flight), after they tell the local cops that you declared firearms. Off to jail with you.
