He also survived 5 hours of below zero cold, iffy air pressure and definitely a shortage of oxygen. For his body to have survived that, he must have been in extremely good and vibrant health.
Now that he has been deposited upon Hawaii's sunny shores, I believe that he deserves a respite. He should be put up for at least a few weeks in a 5-star resort (courtesy of the airline) and have access to the best food, drink and those Hawaiian Luau girls with the long black hair and colorful beads.
He does stand to make some decent money selling his story to any number of tabloids and cable shows. Perhaps even a book and a TV movie could be in the works.

I still believe this is a hoax. There is no way he could have survived 5 1/2 hours at 38,000 unpressurized, -80 degree feet.
