When they were courting he told her he was the “60 Minute Man” but neglected to tell her that since grade school, into the pros, he had NEVER missed a minute of a basketball game he was in...Hence “the 60 Minute Man”.
Eva misinterpreted the meaning of the statement.
Kind of like the 70yo married a 25 yo and the ‘morning after’ he runs down and orders breakfast for both of them and 15 minutes later she comes down, still looking like she had been worked over by a speeding freight train, and moaning “He told me he had been saving up for 50 years and I naturally presumed he meant money”.
