You bet it’ll be grand and I truly hope we’re both wrong about him.

You’re probably right about the “war on women” thing between the two and that’s a complete farce too but the Rats are playing it for everything they’ve got.

If the president issued a pardon for any crimes Lerner committed while at IRS, then her claim that testifying might incriminate her would be a moot point. She only has a 5th amendment right to not testify while she has criminal liability.

Congress lacks a jail...the DoJ would probably refuse to hosue her anywheres in the federal system...could we send her to Gitmo? (hehehehehe)

And if the House does manage to get her locked up, I expect that several female Dem reps will get locked up with her..in solidarity...

A pardon only works on convicted felons, not those under arrest.

Yes, they can. No, they will not. Boehner doesn’t want her arrested, he agrees with what she’s been doing.

Ford issued a full and unconditional pardon of Nixon:
“for any crimes he had committed, or may have committed, or taken part in as president”.

There is a jail in the Capitol, but no person may be held absent a vote of the entire body and then only as long as the Congressional Session. She would be released on 12/31.

A short stay in the Capital Jail could be made to feel like a lifetime for an Elite Washington Liberal on a M.R.E. Meal plan...

Add some speakers with Rush in the Afternoons & Fox in the evenings...& She's "One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" in a heartbeat!

Alas, that would be Cruel & Unusual Punishment for our Elites...

It would take the great liar mac daddy 1 second to issue an executive order to have her released with no possibility of her ever being arrested again.

NOTE: I believe the Congressional "Sergeant-at-Arms" also has arrest powers....under certain conditions (I know what they are---but posting them would be a tipoff).

=============================================

--SNIP--The House Ways and Means Committee Republicans have not ruled out its “inherent contempt” authority to arrest former IRS chief Lois Lerner if Eric Holder continues to refuse to act on the panel’s vote to seek an investigation of Lerner and her role in the IRS targeting scandal.

The Washington Examiner reports, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) spoke about the committee’s threat to hold Lerner in contempt: "The Ways and Means Committee, led by Chairman [Dave] Camp [R-Mich.], has conducted a serious and thorough investigation of the IRS, uncovering abuses and criminal acts that should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

"As I've said, if Lois Lerner continues to refuse to testify, then the House will hold her in contempt. And we will continue to shine the light on the administration's abusive actions and use every tool at our disposal to expose the truth and ensure the American people get the answers they deserve."

The constitutional “inherent contempt” authority gives the House power to hold Lerner until a new Congress is convened in January 2015, which could then renew the subpoena if she continues to refuse to testify, though Republicans are not emphasizing that option.

Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX) told The Washington Examiner, "I think we'll deal with that, should that occur, but I think this too is an ongoing investigation, and, frankly, for the attorney general to turn a blind eye to this evidence would discredit him greatly.”
