GMA and Nightline belong in “news”. Unless what is on GMA and Nightline is being further scrutinized; then it doesn’t. And you haven’t made it your life’s mission to chew people out for posting content that’s in “news” - only for posting content that’s not in the “news”.

I don’t know if you’ve ever said why this eyewitness account, for instance, could be posted without harassment from you if it was posted under the “Good Morning America” filter, but would automatically be trash if it was published independently - like, say, on a blog.

Why is that, HG? If none of it is credible, then why single out only the things not endorsed by the MSM? Do you consider the source on this thread’s article to be credible? Why or why not? Your buddies have already accused a long-time Freeper of blog-pimping and implied that the eyewitness report of this Vietnam vet who rose to the call of duty in NV is trash. Why? Why are real people fit to be trashed for speaking up, while the MSM people get a free pass to say all they want without harassment here?

And what’s sad is that the people piping up the loudest to ridicule and belittle the normal people who speak up with the information they have... are the same people who are on the Freepathon threads telling us we should contribute so we can “resist tyranny”.

Makes no sense.

I have nothing to do with article placement on FR.
It should be obvious to everyone, though.. that blogs are not news.

And you haven’t made it your life’s mission to chew people out for posting content that’s in “news” - only for posting content that’s not in the “news”.

I don't know about my "life's mission" but I sure as heck do call people out for excerpting their own blogs.
It bugs me, possibly to the point of being a fixation. Not a life's mission.

I don’t know if you’ve ever said why this eyewitness account, for instance, could be posted without harassment from you if it was posted under the “Good Morning America” filter, but would automatically be trash if it was published independently - like, say, on a blog.

It IS "published" on a blog. And I've made no comment about that.
The poster isn't posting excerpts from his own blog.. that adds credibility in a way, in that we know he's not self-promoting.
Personally, I'd have filed it under "blogs" since it is one, but there is no self-promotion angle at play. No ulterior motive.

If none of it is credible, then why single out only the things not endorsed by the MSM?

Lack of time and interest perhaps.

Do you consider the source on this thread’s article to be credible? Why or why not?

More likely credible than not, as it isn't being pushed by its author. See above.

Your buddies have already accused a long-time Freeper of blog-pimping and implied that the eyewitness report of this Vietnam vet who rose to the call of duty in NV is trash.

I'm only responsible for my own posts, and sometimes even that is a bit sketchy.

Why are real people fit to be trashed for speaking up, while the MSM people get a free pass to say all they want without harassment here?

Seems to me that the MSM gets trashed quite a bit here, all day every day. What more do you want?
Bloggers pimping their own recycled or made-up material get trashed too sometimes. Why not?
We should applaud them for using us as a hit farm?

I'm not even going to respond to your criticism of the FReepathon, as I might then be tempted to lose my friendly tone.
