Israel does not allow women in combat, IIRC. They can however, be utilized to instruct men’s combat training.
“The Caracal was formed in 2004 with the chief purpose of giving women a chance to serve in a true combat role. It’s a coed combat battalion, named for a desert cat whose gender can be difficult to discern.
The battalion is 60 percent female and patrols Israel’s border with Egypt’s Sinai peninsula, a desolate stretch of high desert that has become a hot spot in recent years: In 2011, eight Israelis died in an attack launched from Sinai.”
I am so insulted at the comments here about a unit of 11 men and one woman, and all the men being about who could “hit that” first! A truly professional man wouldn’t bother with that, he’d be doing his job. when you say stuff like that, you’re dissin’ the men as well as the women.
If any branch of the service would bother to treat both sexes equally in training and testing...
And you guys know how it cheeses me off when you say women can’t do the same jobs as men!!!
