A lot of Blacks I know live their lives conservatively. They have conservative values and appear to believe essentially what I believe. You would think we are on the same page when it comes to politics. But with rare exception, they vote the straight Democrat ticket every single time and see no irony in voting for someone who promotes the opposite of their values.

You really think the Senate is going to vote to drop the mandate?

Aren't there a few dems up for re-election who can't afford to antagonize many more voters?

Well...we’ll just have to raise taxes so that we can help out these poor, unfortunate people.

Just wrested with a patient who came in BEGGING that I write her a free RX for an inhaler, and if I could treat her Chrons disease. She is not eligible for Medicaid, and just got kicked off her major employer’s insurance plan, which shall remain nameless ....

I asked her about Obamacare, and she said there was no way she could afford it, that the premiums added up to as much as her monthly paycheck.

I mean ...just WHAT is all this for? No one can avail themselves of it, and MORE people are going without care than before!

First they have to agree to have a vote which Reid will never allow.

You seem to think The House has power to push legislation into law. The House has passed 40 bills gutting Ocare. None has seen a vote in the Senate.

I think the entire thing was done to give free or almost free healthcare to the deadbeats at the expense of the working class. What they are too stupid to understand is that the working class is all tapped out. I worked almost 40 years at the same company in order to be vested in my employer retiree healthcare benefits, along with my retirement accounts. Deadbeats don’t do that. They don’t work, they don’t take care of themselves physically, and they feel entitled to the same benefits all of us that have worked all of our lives have.

I can’t believe that the democrats and liberals are so stupid that they think that just because healthcare is offered that any of these people will take it if it means they have to pay for it. The threat of the IRS is meaningless to them because they don’t work or even if they do they don’t make enough to matter when it comes to penalties. Instead, they threaten the working class folks with penalties if they don’t buy into healthcare because without beggaring the working class there won’t be enough money to keep up the deadbeats.

I wish everybody that wants and needs healthcare could have an affordable plan. There are people out there with preexisting conditions that would buy a plan if it were affordable. Obamacare is NOT affordable to most of the people in this country. At the same time, the government has NO business forcing everybody in the country to buy healthcare if they don’t want it just to insure the deadbeats. When I say deadbeats I’m not talking about the elderly, disabled, or the people stuck in low paying or minimum wage jobs. I’m talking about the welfare class that have made a career out of living off of other people’s money and have no intention of working. Those are the idiots that put Obama in office and healthcare at our expense is the payout.

I don’t have a solution but this monstrosity can’t hold up under it’s own weight. It has to crash and burn sometime, sooner the better. Doctors quitting their practices might be one of the ways that happens.

I find it hard to believe that her premiums were as much as her monthly
paycheck and she is not eligible for Medicaid!!! SHE KNOWS what a POS
Medicaid IS and wants NO part of it OR knows there is NO CARE there!!!!

The HOR has passed 40 bills

The HOR has the power of the purse. They never defunded it. Thus, they knew the votes were a joke to try to pacify us. And traitor Ryan caved on the budget "compromise".

You were talking about the GOP dropping the mandate.

Defunding is another issue.

What you said is the “the HOR voted against Obamacare 40 times”. And what I said is that the votes were bogus because they didn’t include defunding Obamacare, which is the one thing the HOR has the power to do.

The parallel of the 40 votes to this issue is that even if the House voted to gut the mandate, the Senate would not take it up.

Defunding has nothing to do with this particular issue.

The defunding came up as an example of why I feel the HOR is not sincere. And I do think it’s a good time to bring up the mandate. Drop the mandate could resonate with the voters, and have people questioning why the US Senate doesn’t bring it up. Besides that, people aren’t as dumb as you think. They understand that without the mandate there’s no need to improve or have a new plan...it keeps it simple.

Read the law! To be in compliance and avoid the penalty/tax all you do is sign up for ACA, paying the premiums is optional.
