Another bizarre Obama holiday address… In his Easter Address this year Barack Obama reminds us that the great religions, including Islam, teach us to “love our neighbors as we love ourselves.” From the White House website:
Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning…
…For me, and for countless other Christians, Holy Week and Easter are times for reflection and renewal. We remember the grace of an awesome God, who loves us so deeply that He gave us his only Son, so that we might live through Him. We recall all that Jesus endured for us – the scorn of the crowds, the agony of the cross – all so that we might be forgiven our sins and granted everlasting life. And we recommit ourselves to following His example, to love and serve one another, particularly “the least of these” among us, just as He loves every one of us.
The common thread of humanity that connects us all – not just Christians and Jews, but Muslims and Hindus and Sikhs – is our shared commitment to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. To remember, I am my brother’s keeper. I am my sister’s keeper. Whatever your faith, believer or nonbeliever, there’s no better time to rededicate ourselves to that universal mission…
Nothing at all. Thats the real point here. Would he mention Christianity in a Ramadan speech? Would he mention Jesus in a Buddhist festival of light speech. No of course not. That would be appallingly insensitive. But the feelings of Christians dont seem to matter.
Its just the the Muslims want to love us to death. :-)

I assume that for Obama the primary significance of today is that it is Lenin’s birthday. Probably some speech writer at the White House reminded him that it was also Easter.

Iwatched a documentary about Islam the other day. One of the things that struck me was that i was very obvious that Mohammed took as much as he could (or stile) from the books of the Bible to make the Quran look credible. Same method skilled liars and decievers (and false prophets) use to fool people and the masses.
Islam does no such thing.
I guess a gay bishop saying the blessing at the whitehouse Easter breakfast wasn’t enough of an insult to Christians!
