As I understand it this is Nevada State land.
The BlM so called managed it, and managed to run all the ranchers out of business. Which means nobody is employed or makes money and pays taxes.
Nevada has a budget deficit, it should take the land back from BLM, and bring in businesses and give them land free for 50 years to locate here and lower the unemployment rate.
Rumor is Reid is building a Solar power panel farm on the land, with Chinese money.
Reid sure hasn’t kept Nevada from having the most foreclosures and highest jobless rate.
In Vegas there are 50,000 bank repo-ed homes off market to be worked thru, plus another Vegas homes that have received notice of eviction and foreclosure in process now.
Yet as of the moment homes for sale in Vegas is in tight inventory.
As rates rise for a new mortgage to 5% and higher, this will
kill the real estate market, home building market, and hurt tax receipts.
Taking over the land from BLM is a good move for Sandoval
