I appreciated that summary of the situation. It was also as good an explanation of the affect of derivatives as I've heard, starting out with a determined study of just what these odd credit instruments are. Nothing you wrote led me to believe derivatives are any less of a problem today than they were five years ago.
Your views on the failure to take advantage of a political opponent's weakness certainly did not seem idiosyncratic to me. I do not believe the Old New Left, would have succeeded in becoming such a clear and present danger to liberty without an incompetent opposition.
