Sen. Cruz tweeted that message:
The repeal debate is far from over. #FullRepeal Senator Ted Cruz (@SenTedCruz) April 17, 2014
"The point is the repeal debate is and should be over," Obama said. "The Affordable Care Act is working. And I know the American people dont want us spending the next two and a half years refighting the settled political battles of the last five years."Obama claimed at his press conference that eight million Americans signed up for Obamacare. However, even by the most conservative estimates, at least 20 percent of those Americans may not have paid their premiums, which means they actually do not have insurance. In addition, it will be impossible to determine how many more Americans actually got insurance after Obamacare's implementation because this year the Census Bureau decided to drastically change its annual survey for the first time in 30 years in what officials said was merely a "coincidence."
Cruz has repeatedly said those opposed to Obamacare should aim to "repeal every single word" of the law.

Right, and moreoever, what does “working” even mean? Health care is not working when a few poeple sign up .its working when millions are getting good care and that ain’t happenin under Obama Care.
and while Rand Paul pussyfoots with his comments on Harry Reid, Cruz goes right after obama and obama care. Teachable juxtaposition.
Yeah, Barry.... Just like global warming is settled science and the debate is over. Pffft.
Cruz is right, the debate is not over, ObastatrdCare is a disaster and Barry knows it. That's why Bath House Barry doesn't want to talk about it.
OK so he repeals Obamacare. Then what? All these people lose their coverage. Now if reports are true, most of these are probably people who lost their medical coverage to begin with when insurance companies cancelled their coverage when Obamacare went into effect. Now they lose it again?
Hmm... Wasn’t DOMA settled law? How about immigration? That settled?
Rand Paul plays footsie with Mitch.
Yeah, because it then goes back to free market where people can choose whether or not they want to buy insurance at all or buy a high deductible cheap insurance...like it was before.
Freedom of choice.
But he’s the leader of a cult, so his minions will not notice ...
obamacare is communism. This is the debate the little islamist and the left thinks is over?
No, they get it back - whatever it is they wanted. They go back to making up their own minds about what they want to do with their money. I don't think I understand why this seems to be bad in your eyes...
Now if reports are true, most of these are probably people who lost their medical coverage to begin with when insurance companies cancelled their coverage when Obamacare went into effect. Now they lose it again?
Who knows the real #? But best estimates are that under 1 million people [Rand studies] who wanted it gained "insurance" for the first time.
I do wonder what will happen in the states that expanded medicare. I just know it won't be fun in those States.
I’ve always like the word juxtaposition. But I’m confused at it’s use here and it’s use in general.
Dictionary.com puts a negative connotation to it while OED and WB keep it simple and plain. It’s always had a negative connotation to it for me as something like a “stark paradoxical comparison”. Probably because I picked it up in 1982 from a Piers Anthony book, when my eidetic memory was still functioning.
If the definition is as simple as OED and WB defines it, it would be a weird weird world when the construction foreman tells the common laborer “Hey, juxtaposition that pile of bricks”.
So I kind of find it astonishing that I completely understood what the poster was saying despite the OED and WB definition. They must have read that Piers Anthony book as well.
The Germans have a cool translation for it too.
Nebeneinanderstellung which when I apply my knowledge of the two years of German, which I basically doodled in, means not one understanding.
Drive by commentary by Usagi.
There is no negative connotation to it necessarily, including on dictionary.com that I could tell. It is simply a side by side comparison. It’s most elegant usage is a situation where there is a real lesson, maybe even an epiphany gained, but a given side by side comparison.
Now obviously, when this is done, there is almost by definition a positive and a negative that becomes clear as two items, people, situations, are held up against one another.
I understand and believe you, it’s just that the word has a more subtle meaning to it than what OED and WB give it. Is it an 19th century meme?
Yesterday’s difficult word of the day problem was ‘eponymous’. I wanted to make a snide remark along the lines of:
You (and I mean that in the eponymous sense) blah blah blah.
I had to back down because I was in doubt of the definition of eponymous and the dictionaries didn’t make it any clearer for me.
OK but apparently most of these people are folks who wanted insurance coverage and got screwed by Obamacare. Now they're going to get screwed again when it's repealed and they're left with nothing.
Well, don’t know about the 19th century meme of juxtapose, but I use it often in my writing, and am confident about its meaning now.
As for eponymous? Seems like a totally unnecssary word.
How? If the insurance companies hadn't done away with the kind of policies they had then they wouldn't have had to go into the Obamacare jungle to begin with. What guarantee is there that the insurance companies will offer that kind of coverage again? Will the government compel them to?
Who knows the real #? But best estimates are that under 1 million people [Rand studies] who wanted it gained "insurance" for the first time.
Exactly. Most were probably people who had coverage before and who lost it when the insurance companies canceled their policies. Repeal Obamacare without some sort of solution for them and what do they do?
Well anybody that can use the word Juxtaposition is alright in my book.
