"In his latest book, French economist Thomas Piketty warns that modern-day capitalism leads to unsustainable levels of inequality." Obama's policies have resulted in greater inequality. Full employment reduces inequality, because it creates upward wage pressure.

If said inequality is truly unsustainable, it would seem that all they have to do is sit back and watch it collapse on itself...

Actually the premise is probably flawed. I can think of countries that have extreme inequality that has been sustained for decades. But they aren't wealthy countries. Excessive inequality makes for big fish in small ponds. But equality should never be our goal. Wealth creation and full employment should be our goals.
