Right. There were never any avalanches during the last Ice Age.

/sarcasm off/

If the Earth did not want rocks to fall, there would be no gravity.

If it isn’t Bush’s fault then it’s got to be global warming/climate change.

The loss of glaciers in the region isn't uniform, however. A study published in the April 2012 issue of the journal Nature Geoscience found that glaciers in the Karakoram mountain range are holding steady, and some may even be growing in size....

It’s called...

a lot of compacted snow + gravity = avalanche.

With all the global warming, I expect more and more asteroids to start zipping past the planet.

I would think it was more due to elevation change. As in, the elevation of the snow and I’ve changed very rapidly.

The reach of the propaganda machine of US media is astonishing. I remember a policeman in India c 1980 describing some scene of carnage in his remote area of that country “It was like My Lai.”

Of course, 400+ people tromping up & down the mountain would not have anything to do with the avalanches, would it?

RE :”Everest Avalanche: Is Climate Change to Blame?”

Of course

There is no other possible explanation.

There were no Avalanches before global warming.
Repent before it happens to you!

Is Climate Change to Blame?

No.
Quite simply, temperature fluctuations are the norm, and are certainly no more extreme during the age of mankind's recorded history than what we can glean from prehistoric evidence, i.e., the Ice Ages and the intervening glacier recession periods.
But, we always enjoy the efforts to suggest otherwise for the sheer comedic entertainment they provide.

Slightly off-topic but ...

Isn’t it a little early in the season to be climbing Everest?
