YEP, it was bad. I was going to SCOOP the news on Freerepublic, it will be interesting to see the reports develope during the day, it was freightening, Mexico City´s population was down about 33% as Holy Week draws large numbers to go to the hills and spend time with grandparents and loved ones.

Quetzalcóatl doesn't give time off, and probably will demand more sacrifices from it's followers.

Nice graphic, looks like about 5 minutes of shaking. That seems like a really long time. Hmmmm,

With all the information given it is hard to find the magnitude. It looks like the secondary chart says 7.5.

Has anyone heard anything about tsunami warnings, since this was a coastal area?

Saw a statement that there are no tsunami warnings for Hawaii.

I was in Mexico City last week. With all of the recent activity, an earthquake occurrence was definitely on my mind while there!

Glad I am home :)

What I noted was the two minute gap. Information I can use when the Cascadia stikes here. Two minutes to write a novel or something:)

Just thought of another “coincidence”, the big Alaskan quake of ‘64 was on Good Friday.

Hard to believe there are still some stragglers of the Bush dynasty still hanging around...

A Cascadia mega quake is due any time now. Appears to be a 400-500 years cycle and the last one was in 1700. Somewhere between an 8.5 to a 9.2 in other words a really really big one.

“A Cascadia mega quake is due any time now.”
Yup, and April is earth quake preparedness month.
The state (OR) & local emergency services have done a very good job on their side. We’ve got updated inundation maps for Tsunami, Tsunami evacuation routes & signs, awareness programs etc. The public response will be graded after the event.
