Yes, I did. I had asked why Jesus didn't admit to Pilates that he was the Son of God, you posted those verses from John where Jesus says God is his father, and I responded that those verses are not from his trial but from an earlier scene talking to other Jews. Look at verses 22 and 23. That's not the trial. Pilates is not there.

The simple succinct answer to this is that he couldn’t take the chance of tipping his hand to Satan.

Had Satan figured out what the crucifixion was going to accomplish, he would have aborted it.

This is also why he spoke in parables to the people, and commanded all demons to silence when they declared him to be “the Holy one of God.”

Perhaps we are just all tangled up with the numbers. Sometimes I pass up replying to something 'til a bit later, when another post pushes me over the threshold; and then I reply using the later number as well.
