I was using biblical text as a guide for basing my “answer” (Mat 27:19 When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.)
What are you basing your “plausible answer” on? More a perfect lady understanding?
Tsk, tsk, tsk. I thought we spoke about not to leaning on that!

So whoever wrote the book of Matthew says that Pilates wife had dreams about Jesus, eh? So a Roman law-maker was afraid to sentence this man to death because his wife was dreaming about him? I think you and I would both do better to lean into our own understanding, particularly of human nature, than to take the word of strangers from the Middle East who wrote with a very specific agenda in mind.

You do understand that the book of Matthew wasn't written by Matthew and seems to be dated around 80 years after it all happened, right? Would you believe a Hollywood movie written decades later to glorify FDR?
