The man who oversaw an energy crisis has come out strongly against the Keystone XL pipeline. In a letter with other Nobel laureates, former President Jimmy Carter urged President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry to reject the pipeline, claiming that allowing the project to move forward would worsen climate change.

He’s right, though. If it went through, created all those jobs, and started freeing us from dependence on oil from countries that hate us, it would make the political climate for Democrats much worse than it is now.

Who got this inane drone talking again? His opinions are no better than they were in the late 70’s.

So how much better will the climate be now that the oil is run across the border by train or if it is piped to Canada's west coast for export to China?

I'm really surprised at this point someone hasn't run the pipeline to a few hundred feet of the border on each side and put a circular railroad line in to fill up a tank car in Canada and then roll it into the US to pump it to the US pipeline while the next car is being filled. I guess they are still hoping that the pipeline will be completed so they don't want to build a (hopefully soon unnecessary) pair of rail terminals.

I saw a liberal talking head on TV, WNO said this would create only.50 Jobs, so we shouldn’t do this based on economic development.

A project this big will create thousands of jobs, but the liberals say only 50. So there you have it.

I don’t give a crap what Jimmah Carter wants.

He still owes the entire world an apology for all the people who died trying to rescue our hostages in Iran.

“Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s office responded with a warning: Remember 1979.

It was a reference to the dip in oil supply which followed the Iranian revolution and touched off a global panic. Prices spiked and long lines formed at gas stations, helping destabilize Carter’s one-term presidency.

“Mr. Carter knows from his time as president during the 1979 energy crisis there are benefits to having access to oil from stable, secure partners like Canada,” the PMO said.”

Common sense would say if Jimmy say’s NO then the answer is YES, however, since there is NO common sense in government and Obama lacks a brain period, there’s a 50/50 chance if enough Dems demand Keystone before the 2014 elections.

I will never forget the closed gas stations.

Jimbo Carter imagines that he was a great president and imagines that man can control the climate. He imagines that Muslims are peaceful and that Israel is the sole cause of all the problems in the Middle East. I suppose he even imagines that he's relevant.

A great general quote, but JEC, Jr. was ruined long before he finished his POTUS term, and it's been downhill ever since.

He would have had to pull a [William Henry] Harrison to be remembered for any thing other than the walking piece of nasty disaster that he is.

Building crack houses for drug dealers doesn't count.
