Now why wouldn’t these “cops” want what they do recorded? Here’s a heads up to all you other law enforcement types out there. When you look the other way for your “brothers in blue” you taint everyone in uniform. It hurts the reputation of all of you. Do not look the other way, do not put up with this excrement. You want to know why militia numbers are growing and no one trusts the government or its agents? (That would include you) This kind of thing, and many others big and small. You want respect? You’re going to have to earn it back.

LAPD Chief Charlie Beck and other top officials learned of the problem last summer but chose not to investigate which officers were responsible. Rather, the officials issued warnings against continued meddling and put checks in place to account for antennas at the start and end of each patrol shift.
