Alaska has few roads - most of the vast interior is unpopulated. Fairbanks is the only major city of any size south of the Alaska Range.

I live in the Eastern Interior, 4 miles from border on the Yukon. Our road just opened last week, closed since Last October. We can get a life flight in from Fairbanks pretty quick, unlike out in south west. Unpopulated you say, me thinks too many people here already.

Actually, the Indians have pretty good clinics in every village and they see White People too.

Parnell ain't no Palin, but he stands up to the Feds every time.
