Then we must further imagine that an anti-American regime might intentionally escalate such Bundy-like conflicts specifically to determine the best way to generate civil unrest sufficient to support a declaration of martial law prior to those elections.
Perhaps the only way such a regime would retain the loyalty of the current U.S. military, after such a declaration and in the absence of external threats, is under wide spread instances of large numbers of civilians firing on uniformed law enforcement.
