“clung to her phone with a 911 dispatcher for nearly 15 minutes”

Precisely why I don’t call 911.

na... can’t be ... every pot head will tell you smoking weed is harmless and in fact makes you a nicer person, better driver, and much much smarter!

Just ask them between puffs!

Why do people think pot was called “Wacky Weed”?

If they didn’t know before they will have a lot of opportunity to learn as dope use becomes more liberalized.

She couldn’t leave the house during 15 minutes?

Pot does cause hallucinations at extremely high doses but those doses are incapacitating. If he truly ate enough to hallucinate, he would not be able to get up from the floor.

Tens of Millions of people use pot in this country (and hundreds of millions world wide) so it is always possible to handpick one stoned idiot every month and scream that pot caused it.

Heck, it has not even been confirmed that this guy ate it. Only speculation right now.

I was always told that marijuana could increase already present mental problems in certain people. Not everyone reacts the same to marijuana.

If a person is paranoid, pot can increase that proclivity.

Don’t really know how true that is. But if it is, I would not be surprised because many mind altering drugs can have that effect.

Marijuana isn't a hallucinogen.I suspect this guy had some underlying pathology .Would it be any different if the guy was drunk?

Lots of people with mental or emotional issues use pot to try and balance things out - some with success and for some it is a disaster waiting to happen. It may be the user that is the problem and the dope exacerbates that problem.

There is a comedian here in Australia and he tells the story that he tried dope once as a young man and it sent him into a psychotic episode. Crazily enough he let himself get talked into having another smoke over 10 years later and it sent him into such a spin that he became delusional and depressed for years. Just like people react differently to Pharma medications so they react differently to non-pharma and lets face it at least you know what you are getting when you buy a Pharma med - what are they growing some of these hydro plants with and how is that affecting the efficacy of the product?

It’s probably fair to say that dope does not cause hallucinogenic results in the far majority of people but to say it flat out cannot happen sounds more like personal denial than true life experience.

My personal hope is that far more research into the use of cannabis in the field of medicine might indeed find it to be a wonder drug but we need to be scientific about it and it’s use!
