Exactly! It wouldn’t be so bad if California was a model for success, but I don’t think it is. There are some very, very wealthy enclaves in California, but that’s exactly what they are—enclaves. Leave them and you’ll find plenty of poverty and crime.
I don’t doubt it’s a good life if you’re a Californian at the top. No doubt there are plenty of poor people to cut your lawn, raise your kids, cook your food, etc. Plus, California is a very beautiful state in some areas if you can afford them.
Unrestrained immigration, in my opinion, will make California look like a third world country at some point. What do you see in those? You see a handful of very rich at the top and everyone else living in poverty. That’s America’s future, too, if we don’t slow immigration down.
It’s unfortunate that many of the immigrants who come here looking for a better life, bring with them the very ideologies that create poor living conditions in their home countries to start with!
