Was afraid you were speaking of Air Force Base. Is near Patriots’ Point. Glad was not Air Force Base and any Base Closure is one too many in my humble opinion. Did not know Naval Base was shuttered. Thank You for the information.
It died a year or so after I had my stretch there. Don’t miss the place at all and Charleston isn’t that special to me. It is an hour and change away and rarely go.
Most of what little I liked or knew of interest to me has long since gone away. Some parts I barely recognize. My wife ran the Cooper River Bridge and the pickup point area was barely recognizable.
