Every once in a while, I just have to do it. I go to a local Perkins and have chicken fried steak smothered in gravy for breakfast. It seems to just give me a sense of calm and relaxation. Comfort food, defined. If Bubba wants to stop for a late night indulgence at Waffle House, I say, “Go for it, Bubba!” (Libs do the same kind of thing—they just don’t admit it.)

I like the Bob Evans chicken fried steak especially with their sausage gravy instead of the country gravy.

chicken fried steak smothered in gravy...”

We have a small local restaurant called the Busy Bee. They serve a plate sized chicken fried steak with homemade mashed potatoes, lots of cream gravy and HUGE yeast rolls. Top that off with a piece of homemade coconut cream pie which has a coconut crust and you will think you’re close to being in heaven.
