Bundy vs. BLM: A Visceral Reaction
National Review ^ | 04/15/14 | Peter Kirsanow

One can be a supporter of the rule of law and still recoil in anger and disgust from the militarized display of force by the federal government toward Clive Bundy.

The disproportionate nature of the government’s reaction to Bundy suggests this has less to do with delinquent grazing fees than it does with the selective assertion of raw governmental power — sending a message not just to Bundy or a disfavored group, but to America as a whole. The same federal government that deploys Bureau of Land Management shooters tricked out like SEAL Team 6 directs Border Patrol agents to flee from aggressive illegal immigrants. The same federal government that would fire and prosecute federal agents who physically restrain border-crossers sends agents to tase and sic German shepherds on ordinary Americans exercising First Amendment rights.

Here is the important take away.

The Federal government is willing to use force to keep US citizens off their land, but is unwilling to use such force to keep out the illegal alien invaders!

In fact. The US government is handing the illegal invaders drivers licenses, welfare applications, and Obamacare enrollment information.

Let them bluster. They’re terrified of the skillsets of our former military personnel, our cowboys and cowgirls, our backwoods boys and girls. Their firearms confiscation programs aren’t working. They try to force the population into urban areas wherein they can be relatively easily controlled. That’s not working well either. It will be rather like Viet Nam, where it wasn’t possible to control every little hamlet. They’re losing the millenials. They are outnumbered and outgunned. I’m merely a little old lady who has observed a lot in my lifetime, and I see that they’ve bitten off more than they can chew.

Here is Ron Paul's take on it. Other than Reid, he is the only other DC politician to speak on it that I know of.

In the wake of the Bundy/BLM matter, a Republican controlled House committee should immediately conduct a hearing on the extent of arming non-military federal agencies, and require a strict physical audit of the location and agencies in possession of all the massive amounts of ammo purchased by the feds in the past 4 years. The American people have the right to know what their federal government is doing.

First they will close off the public lands. Then they will take private lands. Then they will start on the suburbs. They will not rest until everyone is living in a concrete block just like the Soviet Union.

“The most complete data is from the Beaver Dam Mountains. Woodbury and Hardy reported a tortoise population density of 150 per square mile in 1948. BLM reduced cattle grazing a few years later and eliminated cattle in 1970. Coombs reported a tortoise density of 39 per square mile in 1974. In these 26 years cattle use was reduced 100 percent and tortoise numbers were reduced 74 percent.

“These tortoises were doing so poorly a veterinarian, Dr. Jarchow, was consulted. He reported all six specimens were suffering from osteoporosis caused by a protein deficiency in their diet. Dr. Jarchow examined five specimens from the same mountains that shared their range with cattle. He reported these specimens were all healthy and well nourished.

“The historical record proves conclusively that tortoise thrive when cattle are on the range with them and without cattle grazing they are always malnourished and unhealthy and their numbers plummet.

The failure of the House to investigate this travesy, this tyrannical excess of authority, implicates the leadership in overt injustice and impeachable offenses against the people of this nation. Elected representatives will either uphold the Constitution or they will be summarily removed from office.
This latest episode has crossed the line. Any act of violence against citizens gathering peaceably to express their dissatisfaction with authority will trigger open warfare. This line is real.
