What about butane? I had a lighter explode in my pocket once and the butane froze my thigh.......................
I haven't seen it used, but that doesn't mean it isn't used anywhere.
Most of the propane refrigeration units were in facilities separating out natural gas liquids from a raw natural gas stream. They usually provided their own source of propane. I have also seen it in refineries as well.
