Charlie will be acquitted. He didn’t take the plea deal because they have a very weak case.

What does Bitcoin have to do with this indictment? Nothing. It’s anti-bitcoin propaganda. This guy set up a website to sell drugs and other illegal items, then was stupid enough to tie his email to the site, and they found him. This was about Silk Road, not bitcoin.

Dumb question: is it possible to purchase 1-2 Bitcoins, in a frame, like the framed US Mint Set I have, of $2 bills? Just to hang on the wall. Or are real Bitcoins so costly that it wouldn’t be worth it, as souvenirs. I’m not “up” on the whole Bitcoin thing.

All I can find is “Bitcoin art”:

As far as I know, there is no “official” Bitcoin mint.

I know that several private dealers have actually created and sold physical Bitcoins.

I don't know if there is a copyrighted “official” design for a physical Bitcoin, or if it must contain certain kinds of metal.

I suggest you contact “TsonicTsunami08” at Free Republic.

He is highly informed about Bitcoins.

One thing to keep in mind.....

Beyond artistic value, a physical Bitcoin can only have intrinsic value if it is linked in some way to a specific “electronic wallet” that has "virtual" cash in it.

After looking thru this page of "Bitcoin images", I can see that you're right about there being no real, official minted unit.
