We’re talking about, at least what little we know, leasing or selling(?) public land—the `federal government’ doesn’t own it, we do!—so I don’t know what the trigger words are for putting this within the FOI act, but the matter seems “infused with public interest”. Maybe we deserve to know the proposed terms before they say, “Sorry. It’s a done deal.” like so many things they railroad through.
Reid’s arrogance is similar to LBJ’s, when a soldier tried to tell him which helicopter was his, and he replied, “They’re all my helicopters.”
Reid isn’t the CEO of the USA; Gold Butte isn’t his (or his son’s) to rent or sell.
As long as I can take a 4x4 up to the base of a Butte and climb to the top, I'm good with the deal (that I'm paying for - use or not).
An appropriate "sustainable" concentration of cattle is not a problem in those god-forsaken acres.
That peeps not directly knowledgeable about the facts on the local ground are able to speak the Law from their mouths is an abomination.
