They are available but they’re REALLY childish and boring. Grossly amateurish and emotional. As bad as Russian war movies and equally loaded with simple-minded propaganda.

I still keep in touch with some old associates from my time working in a Japanese company, and have the feeling many Japanese are learning most of what they know about the war from these movies.
Kinda like Americans educated from about 1980 onward.

I watched the 2013 Russian version of Stalingrad. Some good special effects but the German version of Stalingrad was much more intense. I guess I liked the German version best because you saw it from the losers perspective.
