People participating in the food stamp program outnumbered the women who worked full-time, year-round in the United States in 2012, according to data from the Department of Agriculture and the Census Bureau.

In the average month of 2012, according to the Department of Agriculture, there were 46,609,000 people participating in the food stamp program (formally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). That contrasts with the 44,059,000 women who worked full-time, year-round in 2012, according to the Census Bureau’s report on Income, Poverty and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States.

For each woman who worked full-time, year-round in 2012, there was slightly more than 1 other person collecting food stamps.

Almost all Americans believe in helping those truly in need. Aiding the poor and widows is a Judeo-Christian value, and one commanded by God.

But God also condemns sloth, theft, and corruption - and those words describe what the Federal Food Stamp program has become.

What Obama did was expand Food Stamp eligibility to to almost anyone who qualifies for even one Federal subsidy.

We all have the seen those in line with us in the grocery store, swiping their little plastic cards. Food prices are destroying many middle class families, and the price of food is skyrocketing in part because of Federal waste on the EBT program (the government did the same thing to college tuition).

We cannot go on like this.

Those numbers are supposed to be flat.

Food stamps are supposed to be TEMPORARY.

Big Food and huge grocery chains have figured out a way to keep selling their product to people who have no money.

We are SO SCROOOOOOD!

Food Stamps are one of the many hidden costs of cheap imports.

We need to raise the import tariffs and put Americans back to work.

But we also need to ban Senators and Congressment and Federal Officials from investments in foreign businesses that run trade deficits with the U.S. Reid and Pelosi have so many Chinese investments that they are effectively owned by the Chinese.

Interesting that the increase was almost as steep under Bush as under Obama.

Obama supporters want something for nothing. We taxpayers are expected to have the money we have earned taken from us to pay for it.

Big Food and huge grocery chains have figured out a way to keep selling their product to people who have no money.

WalMart, Trader Joes, Publix, Safeway, Super Fresh, A&P, ACME, Food Giant, Piggly Wiggly, Shop n Save, Wegmans, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Papa Johns, and every other company has realized that without EBT, their profits would nose dive.

So they lobby Congress for Billions more down the gullet.

Does God Approve Of Welfare?

Excellent article at link on the subject.

What will happen when the food stamp recipients outnumber the providers? Better question: What will happen When The Music Stops?

The increase was one part of his “compassionate” doctrine of political practice. Deep down he must really feel the need to be a Sugar Daddy in the midst of maintaining his marriage oath; that or he is just a short-sighted dullard.

I don’t like charts like that one. They’re intentionally misleading. The real numbers are bad enough.

Umm vertical primarily all the way until his departure. Then he set the tone to establish “socialism with interest” in order to save capitalism, or some sort of hypocritical bile that was served up right down the middle to the Obama Administration to pound on and “hammer home”. Bush set the tone in which Obama/Congress capitalized on, “least ye be a hypocrite” with attacking Obama’s spending while championing Bush.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.

Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.

Give a man someone else’s fish and he will vote for you.
