Dark side of ND's oil boom: Meth, heroin, cartels _ all part of growing drug trade

WILLISTON, N.D. — The blood-drenched man had survived a brutal attack: Beaten with brass knuckles, shocked with a stun gun, slashed with a razor blade, then dumped 40 miles away in Montana, he staggered to a farmhouse for help. His path eventually led authorities back to a quiet backyard in this oil boom town. What they uncovered was a large-scale methamphetamine ring that had found a home in a state long known for its small-town solitude, its slow pace and peaceful pastures. The members of this violent gang were all relative newcomers to Williston. They called themselves "The Family," the feds say, and were holed up in a few campers tucked behind an innocent-looking, white-frame house. They had plenty of firepower, too: One of the men had an arsenal of 22 weapons.

Once we do that, low-lives will stop abusing drugs.

Instead of banning drugs we should ban low-lives.

That would empty out DC.

What makes them mad is ND’s taxes are not as high as MN’s to punish those evil rich enough to make them stop from stripping Gaia of her virtues.

“More than 40 people have been charged with dealing heroin and meth in on and around the Fort Berthold reservation,...Among the accused: residents of California and Colorado alleged to have been a drug connection for local dealers.”

That must be a lie! None of us that have suffered a cold in the last years can buy effective medicines anymore, so surely we have made it impossible for the meth dealers to get the ingredients to make meth! I mean all that extra suffering must mean that we have successfully eliminated meth!

A couple of weeks ago I had a terrible cold and I can’t find a cold medicine that works for me. I talked with a Pharmacist last week and I felt like I was getting the third degree. When she asked what I used to take, I told her a product that was removed from the market. She looked at me with a blank look on her face and I said, yet somehow methheads are still making meth....no response.

I got the feeling that she has no idea why those products were removed...much like obamacare will become second nature in a few short years.

The drug problem is due to liberalized drug law enforcement dating back to the 60s, not ND’s oil boom.

Most of THIS meth is coming from Mexico.

Alternate headline:

Dark side of ND’s unemployment scourge: Meth, heroin, cartels _ all part of growing drug trade

++++++++++++++++++++

I’ll take a booming economy and all the horrors that entails.

Open borders = no import duty.

Yeah, like none of this happens anywhere else in the U.S.

It still goes on in Vegas where gambling, and prostitution given it’s lax enforecment (”dancers” or “escorts” to your room?), is legal.
