Ms. Power is right about that - the result of Western meddling.

But I don’t think any one sees a way out of the crisis.

“Ms. Power is right about that - the result of Western meddling. But I don’t think any one sees a way out of the crisis.”

My thought, as well.
We aren’t going to start WW3 over Ukraine, I knew when Clinton bloviated about Peace-In-Our-Time! that it was stupid for Ukraine to count on any Democrat standing up.

Europe can whine, but they are too dependent on Russian Energy to do much else, including sanctions, and will be for a decade, IF the Environuts allow them to do anything about it.

Russia is holding all the cards here, handed to them on a silver platter by Obama and the Soros NGO’s.

CHINA basicly just said: We’re neutral, but the west mustn’t do anything stupid.

Samantha Power?

She's the idiot that thought toppling Khaddafi was a good idea for some strange incomprehensible reason.

Libya is now wide open for Al-Queda to use as a base of operations against Europe and the US.

“Muslims didn’t seem to show gratitude for our saving them on 9/11.”

Many did and many more did not. Their gratitude or lack of it are irrelevant to the larger responsibility for upholding the basic principles of human rights, including the non-Muslins in the SFRY.

And, as far as I can tell, we intervened on the wrong side. Of course, with them exterminating each other at every chance, there was no correct side.

WOW...
Russian UN ambassador blasting Kerry, BY NAME, saying the State Department is speaking out of both sides of his mouth. Kerry says one thing to Lavrov on the phone, and State Department wonk says the opposite a few hours later.

Now they are noting BIDEN’s own words, which is another screwup for him.

Did libs not think that electing two incompetents was going to have REAL consequences?

No question, Kerry et al., are incompetent. Making it that much easier for Russia to rape Ukraine.

The US inspires neither confidence in its friends nor strikes fear in the hearts of its enemies.

In just a few hours as Kiev’s deadline runs out events in Ukraine can take an irreversible turn – Russia’s UN envoy

At the presser, saying Kiev attacking the separatists could have “irreversible consequences”.

With Ukraine saying at the UN only one and half hours before attacks, can that be anything other than a direct threat?

I heard that, too. It pretty much sounded like an ultimatum to the Ukraine not to use force to take back those occupied buildings in the east - occupied by spetsnaz - or risk war with Russia.

I don’t see any way this ends well.

Russia doesn’t recognize the Kiev Coup Government as legit, The Right-Sector and the US are pushing Kiev, and Russia is taking advantage of the chaos.

We are an hour away from real violence, if Kiev follows through on the threats.

My question is: If the balloon goes up, what stupid move will Kerry talk Obama into doing next???

IF there is a massive bloodbath - Russia will intervene.

Russia is giving the West plenty of warning to use its leverage with the Maidan authorities in Kiev to avoid a catastrophe.

And of course, Moscow is laying the justification for any action it might take in the future to protect its interests in Ukraine.

Where will the Bear stop?

Methinks Pooty Poot has been emboldened by the Crimea. 0bama said he would have more flexibility after the election. Flexibility? Maybe like bending over and grabbing his ankles..?

Where will this all end? Our allies don't trust us, and our enemies don't fear us. [Explicative]

0bama has no idea what he is doing, or who he is dealing with. Sad.

This is an existential fight for Russia and it doesn’t matter to the US or EU. That alone determines the outcome.

Wow, right out of the “the only good Injun’ is a dead Injun’” school of thought.

At the time (just after 911) some Muslims in the former Yugoslavia wanted to volunteer to fight with us in Afghanistan. That probably was not practical, as we were only inserting highly trained special forces and the like. But I’ll bet our intelligence community picked up a few, not that we will ever know who, and not that we should.

This will be the outcome.

Russia rolls in and takes the east and south of Ukraine...simply no contest against the pitiful Ukraine army.

Western Ukraine implodes and is nothing but a hopeless basket case surviving on handouts from the US taxpayers.

Russia warns against the western part of Ukraine joining EU or allowing any foreign forces on their soil.... they will comply.

If EU gives Russia a hard time they will pay through the nose for less gas than they need to survive. The gas ration will be cut but the income for Russia will increase. This is what happens when you let enviroweenies get you into such a dependent state.

Of course, it is possible that an incompetent like Obama will do something stupid. If he does Russia and China will retaliate by sinking the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency. Then we will all be dirt poor and pitiful :-( We are not in good shape financially. OR it could mean WW3
