And if you're not armed, or are, at least carry bear spray. I carry both.
I noticed you mentioned bear spray of which we have the real bear spray.
I happened to ask a ranger if he thought that bear spray was any good he said sure.
My next question was how to use it correctly.
He said three simple rules:
1) Always have it on your person,
2) Wait til the bear is within 15 feet,
3) spray it directly into your eyes...
so you can’t see the bear when he actually eats you.
