We need a congressional hearing. What committee has oversight over the bureau of land management?

I also expect that Mr. Eric the Black and congress will have no interest in this whatsoever

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Would imagine the 'biggest' problem - AGAIN - is they are 'afraid' of each other inasmuch that if ONE rats another out, he stands to get ratted out himself. The ONLY real 'bold' ones are those that have absolutely NOTHING to hide and it wouldn't surprise me that during the '1st term indoctrination' that 'secrets' are bled out of the 'newbies' and used against them at a later date.

As Mouton (#3) opines...LAST night (SAT 11PM) local NBC outlet mentioned DEEP IN THE BROADCAST (Just before weather) the 'Nevada' situation for the first time. Just mentioning BLM is 'pulling out for Safety' concerns, nothing about the 'siege' and the arrival of (Govt) 'Unfriendlies'. Believe they referred to it as a 'grazing rights dispute' but did NOT go into details.

I wonder what the reaction would have been say if ANY 'R', especially what they conceive to be a CONSERVATIVE R, had been named in this in the same respect as Reid is/was?

(That is a VERY Rhetorical question(/b>)

When I first saw this ‘allegation’ I actually hoped it wasn’t true. Would serve them right to have to defend themselves against utterly horrible untruths. Lol. Like you, I don’t really care if it’s true or not. This is the way to treat all Democrats, just like they do Republicans.

I’m quite certain that coverage of such would resemble if not exceed CNN’s coverage of a certain missing plane...

Three weeks before Election Day, Senate Majority leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., center, arrives for the dedication of a wind farm in Henderson, Nev., on Oct. 12, 2010. With him are, second from left, Kai Huang, deputy mayor of Shenyang, China; Jinxiang Lu, second from right, chairman and CEO of A-Power Energy Generation Systems, a Chinese company, and Tom Conway, right, international vice president of the United Steelworkers union. Reid’s support, and the plan to create jobs in Nevada, helped blunt congressional criticism that stimulus money was going to the Chinese company. (MSNBC)

Marshal would be clearly identified and would have been in control. Not BLM. So this begs to question, who ordered this? It wasn’t a Federal Judge. The courts would only give it to the Marshals! I smell a rat and would the MEDIA wake up and do its job. Let’s. See the court order. MARSHALS?

One reaction that was clearly on display was the “news” citing their were many militia members coming to the aid of Bundy. I guess they were hoping for gun fire so they could begin another round of anti gun talk, anti tea party rhetoric all the while omiting what little Harry’s corruption had to do with all this.

And the GOP is going to Las Vegas for its convention! Why not hold it at the Whitehouse if they are going to go there where Reid is the senior senator and senior crook.

"Waiting to hear this on the main stream media: three, two one.....crickets."

I turned on Fox this morning and waited to hear Reid's name. Never happened.

The land supposedly sold to the Chinese is South West of Las Vegas, Bundy’s ranch is North East of Las Vegas. About 140 miles apart and on opposite sides of the state.

I'll try to help you connect the dots. The land to be used for the solar farm is also inhabited by the desert tortoise. These solar farm, unlike grazing, do threaten the tortoise. Therefore, any development must include a mitigation plan before it can proceed.

As documented here on Free Republic, the BLM mitigation plan specifically cited Bundy's allotment as one of the areas for "special management" so that the solar farm can be built. This is a bit of insurance to see to it that Bundy can never prevail, and it directly benefits Harry Reid.

The larger issue is the organized effort by the BLM and other federal agencies to force ranchers off public lands. They believe that the land should not be used for economic activity (the original intent) and have worked with a vengeance to run these people off. Places like Las Vegas and crooks like Harry Reid support this because they want the water rights, a very limited commodity in the West.

For an historical parallel read about the depopulation of the Scottish Highlands in the 19th Century. Tyranny knows no borders.

I have been wondering about the legalities of leasing Federal land for cattle grazing. One does not adversely possess against a government. There were claims that when Nevada entered the Union the citizens agreed that most of the States land would belong to the Federal government.

However, the Feds were seizing Bundy's cattle without apparent authority. Bundy claims and the State government admit he has paid the state the proper amounts.

Whatever the legalities, remember the Boston Tea Party was illegal, the Bundy's and those that actually stood with them stood for our liberty. God Bless them all!

Maybe the Bundy’s wouldn’t sell?

The property has been in the family for well over 100 years, them not wanting to sell it would make sense....

There's a missing ingredient here. If the offered price was 1/10 the appraised price, it's a straight out greed-based power trip. The PTB (powers that be) could probably have used eminent domain if they were willing to come up with a market appraised price of $40 million. I read elsewhere that the Bundy's refused some low-ball offers. There's also the family ranch thing, as you pointed out.

With the MSM covering up for them, the Democrats are operating their corrupt kickback schemes completely out in the open.

For days, we’ve heard the term ‘Chinese company.’

Does this Chinese company have a name?

Why is everybody dancing around the name, avoiding it.

Is the name of the company ‘Valdemort’ or something?

Will we summon evil by invoking the name aloud?

Somebody please tell us the NAME of this Chinese ‘solar company’ so we can boycott or at least avoid it while cursing its name.
