And there are differences.
First, Asians think Nascar is stupid. I’m asian and I think Nascar is stupid. The only reason people like Nascar is because people like me think it is stupid and they want to rebel. Since they can’t shoot the president or kill off the media, they flock to Nascar.
Second, Asians think all these high school (mostly white) cliques are stupid. We actually think nerdy is ok and sports are overrated.
Third, Asians think white people to some extent do not like us. And I believe there is some truth to the matter. All you have to do is look at any job where popularity is a bigger part of the job than measurable performance and NO WAY IN HELL IS AN ASIAN GETTING THAT JOB. 40% of the student body at Cal Tech is Asian but if you watch the Big Bang Theory which is supposed to be at Cal Tech, there are no Asians anywhere, not even in the background shots.
Fourth, Asians find the duplicity (aka lying) of white democrats to be disgusting but wrongly associate these white people to be republicans because they are white.
NASCAR and F1 are OK to watch on television, provided you like the feel of a videogame that you can't control.
America (including American business) values a certain degree of individualistic dynamism over conformism and collectivism. No matter how smart you are if you don't show a strong, individualistic streak and high level social skills, COMBINED with intelligence and a strong work ethic, you will plateau at best.
The entertainment industry is disproportionately populated by secular Jewa, male homosexuals, and white women. This is why these three groups are disproportionately represented on television, even though whites (as well as Jews and gays) are a minority in SoCal. Its amazing that Hispanics have a plurality in Cali, yet you never see them (or Asians) on the network shows.
On high school cliques we're in total agreement - it's a weird bonding thing teenagers do - but then again I don't look to teenagers as models for anything worth emulating. I like 'nerds' - as most freepers do...(for reasons that are obvious) and no, I don't like political lying either. AND yeah, lying MUCH more common among democrats.
Not all white people are democrats - that's a yucky thought... and not all conservatives are white ... and not all democrats are liars... even if most are... lots of exceptions in life.
Anyhow, people have 'ethnic lists'. Rightly or wrongly. My guess is your list has your group at the top. Mine's the same way - my group is the one I'm most comfortable with... My group is 'self-identified American conservatives'.
There are sub-categories and one of the ones most wonderful is Asian American conservatives - because other than their weird ideas about NASCAR they really have cool values.
I didn’t know Asians all thought alike. I gave them more credit than that.

A great example is your referring to NASCAR as if all conservatives are NASCAR fans. That is of course a wild generalization. You would be offended if I said all Asians are good students or belong to Asian gangs or that they like Sumo wrestling because these are stereotypes and are provably false.
Frankly were I to say all Asians like Sumo wrestling that would probably as crazy and false as saying all NASCAR fans are rebels with suppressed and violent urges.
I think a lot of us agree that sports are overemphasized in public education. I note that there have been more and more Asian Americans on Olympic teams recently.

As for not being liked by white people, I think this is a prejudice of yours as well. A friend of mine was being treated by a Chinese (from China) doctor at a Veteran’s Admin Hospital in Milwaukee WI. In the conversation the doctor told my friend that he had been afraid to come to Milwaukee because Milwaukee does not have a Chinatown. Not having a Chinatown meant that probably people in Milwaukee do not like Chinese. But he came anyway and was so happy that all of his neighbors accepted him for who he was.
You must not be in my industry (software) because there are many many Asians that achieve high ranks in companies like Oracle, Microsoft. And your use of a Hollywood liberal product as a datapoint leads to my last point
You admit that people of your Asian backgrounds cannot tell the difference between white people (between Republicans and Democrats). If I said that about Asians you would call me prejudiced (Since I lived for a year in Korea I am actually pretty sophisticated in differences between Koreans-Japanese-Chinese). It is so sad that your community can’t tell the difference because if there is a white subgroup that doesn’t like Asians… Well let me say it another way.
Big Bang Theory is produced by white liberals. White liberals are the ones who hurt Asian Americans by enforcing affirmative action. This is provably damaging to the hardworking Asian American students. If anyone is trying to take away the damage of discrimination against Asian Americans coming from Affirmative Action it is white Conservatives.

It is tragic that your community falls for media propaganda and Democrat duplicity wrongly as you say. I hope you will come back to FR frequently and observe for yourself that conservatives seek a colorblind, free society where hardworking people are able to succeed and we have American brotherhood.
