The Bureau of Land Management vowed Saturday that it would continue its legal fight to remove illegal cattle from a rural Nevada range after ending a tense weeklong standoff with a rancher and his supporters.

"After 20 years and multiple court orders to remove the trespass cattle, [rancher Cliven] Bundy owes the American taxpayers in excess of $1 million. The BLM will continue to work to resolve the matter administratively and judicially," a statement from the bureau said. "We ask that all parties in the area remain peaceful and law-abiding as the Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service work to end the operation in an orderly manner."

I say MooseShell needs to pay for a grazing license for her activities on Public Land at the White House.

I watched actual video of the protesters encounters with the BLM. The fact they were unorganized and belligerent has nothing to do with BLM or the right and wrong with what BLM was doing. Can you understand that?

Unfortunately, Mr. Bundy lives in Clark County, whose Sheriff is in cahots with the BLM and the Senate Majority Leader.

I recognize that. It was odd, but not unexpected, that the Sheriff showed up only after Rustler Reid called the whole thing off.

The protesters did nothing wrong. Why can’t you understand?

Exactly, and the people on here backing up the US government on this issue are totally wrong.

You would think they could see what is happening.

Get your damn head out of your butt. The American people are under siege. If you are unable to see that, join the other side.

Did you watch any of the videos? We won't win the siege by alienating fellow Americans. Being belligerent and shutting down the interstate is a great way to turn people away from your cause. If it's really going to be CW2, and we plan to win, we are going to have get our heads out of our butts and be smart about it.

There is no way to win except showing you have the guts to stand up to them. If you want the namby pamby approach, call it quits. It is over.

“I haven’t seen anything in the news (Including Fox) about the Harry Reid/Reid’s son/Chinese connection to wanting that land for a Solar Plant. When is that going to surface?”

Here’s the whole story and it really stinks:

Did you personally stand up to them, were you there? If not why not?

I think the only person alienated by the protestors was you and the BLM. This was actually a great day for America.

I wasn't alienated, it was a great day, I just hope it's a little more professional in the future.

BLM and Dept. of Interior do “manage” some land on the border, they do this by charging the Border Patrol for damage done to the environment while they are trying to do their job. Of course BLM, DOI, environmental groups never bother the illegals that are completely trashing the environment/wildlife every single day. In some areas BP is not allowed to patrol the actual border because of environmental issues. Kicker is the land was originally a type of easement to be used to secure the border back in times when people used common sense.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/06/21/republicans-interior-stop-charging-millions-border-patrol/

Damage to border areas by illegal traffic:

To me this is proof the environmental issues are not really about saving the environment or protecting wildlife, if it was this would not be allowed to happen. Not a peep from those that claim to be oh so concerned.

They certainly could not treat the illegals the way they have treated the Bundys, that would be violating the “rights” of the illegals. Few seem concerned with citizen rights. When the Bundy issue hit the news I told hubby if Bundy would just find an illegal and make him a partner in his ranch all of his issues would be settled in no time.

That would be humorous if it weren't spot-on true. Another thing we're not hearing is that the US is facing a shortage of meat and the possibility of prices soaring. And yet the feds have driven all but one of the ranchers in that area off their grazing lands.
