Minneapolis is a hub for Somali Muslims, so much so that they have taken to politics to "get a seat at the table." It's not too hard to get in, because the powers that be have already kowtowed to Sharia. Minneapolis mayor Betsy Hodges took sharia submission a step further, in donning a full hijab when meeting with Somali Muslims.
Was this to appeal to a lobby that is growing in power and prominence? It's likely, but she also importantly positions herself to fill in her city staff. Any bets on who will fill one of these positions? Wearing a hijab is more than just wearing a "headscarf." It is a powerful statement of Islamic submission.

95% of the women in Egypt have had this done to them. It is a bestial practice.

I work with a black women that grew up in and still lives in a rough neighborhood in the inner city. She is a Christian and is an avid reader of the bible -she is quite knowledgeable.
She is seriously considering converting to Islam. She hasn’t said as much, but I’ve mostly deduced to rationale for why and it’s pretty simple. First, she is black and a diehard Democrat voter, even though the Democrat party doesn’t represent her values across the board. See you can’t be black and not be a good democrat, else your an uncle Tom -she first identifies with the black community. Second, liberals/democrats are all but advocating attacks on Christianity and Christian ideals.
Anyway, she makes a decent buck and people have told her for years she has to move out of there for the sake of her son. She never moved and her son was a violent felon at 15 years old. Now at 20 years old, the son has a lot of trouble finding work and he dabbles in drug dealing for money, but mostly sponges off her. She first and foremost identifies as black and with the inner city black community, even to the great detriment of her son’s future.
The point being... You can be black and not be a Democrat; AND, you can’t be a Christian and not feel as if your under attack by liberals/democrats. (While Islam is above reproach.)
Make that: “You can’t be black and not be a Democrat; AND,...”
SHAME ON HER... WE ARE IN U.S. AND W SHOULD RESPECT ALL RELIGONS; BUT OUR ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES MUST SUBMIT TO NONE.

It all comes down to power. And the consequences of Muslim migration to Western countries. The more Taliban move to the UK, the more honor killings there will be.
Farhad Sarfi, 23, is on trial for murdering Polish national Orina Morawiec, 21, at their flat in south-east London in August last year.
The Old Bailey trial was told that he stabbed the former Marks & Spencer shop worker in the neck and chest multiple times and with such force that the knife ruptured her heart and penetrated through to the bone.
Opening the prosecution case, Zoe Johnson QC said Morawiec had become infatuated with the defendant after they met at Lewisham College where she studied tourism and administration.
When they married in 2012, she wore a headscarf and pledged to convert to Islam, the jury heard. But the relationship turned volatile and they argued over her makeup and clothing.
In May last year, Morawiec told her mother that she had tried to leave the flat and her husband leaned out of the window and shouted: “You must come back and if you do not I will take this knife and kill you.” By the time of her murder she had told Sarfi she wanted a divorce, the jury was told.
Sarfi had been denied asylum in the UK but after the wedding his status changed and he could stay as a spouse of the European national. Johnson told the jury: “If Orina had divorced the defendant he would have to leave this country or apply in his own right for leave to remain. The prosecution suggest this may be a reason why the defendant became angry with his wife and killed her.”
