Fed-Up Holder Rips 'Unprecedented, Unwarranted, Ugly and Divisive' Congress

A fed-up Attorney General Eric Holder is accusing congressional critics of launching "unprecedented, unwarranted, ugly and divisive" attacks on him and the Obama administration.

During a speech to the National Action Network in New truthYork on Wednesday lauding the organization's effort to advance racial equality, a heated Holder went a little off-script.

"Forget about me [specifically]. Look at the way the attorney general of the United States was treated yesterday by a House committee," Holder told the crowd. "What attorney general has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment? What president has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment?"

The remarks drew loud applause from the crowd. al.

Holder has had a tense relationship with several Republican lawmakers since the Republican-led House held him in contempt of Congress two years ago for failing to turn over certain documents tied to the Fast and Furious scandal involving botched firearms sting operations despite a congressional subpoena seeking those documents.

In asking Holder on Tuesday about the Justice Department's refusal to turn over documents in an unrelated terrorism case, Gohmert again raised the issue of contempt, saying, "I realize that contempt is not a big deal to our attorney general, but it is important that we have proper oversight."

A visibly upset Holder, leaning back in his chair, shot back, "You don't want to go there, buddy. You don't want to go there, OK?"

Holder is a racist who is criminally negligent in carrying out the duties of his office. He should be prosecuted.

In a more honest time in America, he would be.

Yeah, and he also said no other AG has ever had to put up with what’s he’s had to, the poor thing. Guess he never heard the names “Ashcroft,” “Gonzales” or John Mitchell.”

Out of a sense of history Holder should occupy John Mitchell’s old office. The one with bars.

Has Mr. Holder turned over the subpoenaed documents yet? If not, then Mr. Gohmert was being kind in asking Mr. Holder if he doesn’t believe contempt of congress is important to him. An opportunity to make the situation right.

Cut the race baiting BS, provide the documents, or have Holder tried for contempt. PERIOD.

Waco was started over cattle grazing rights.

Who says history doesn't repeat itself? Especially under Holder!

What attorney general has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment?

How about John Mitchell and Alberto Gonzales for two.

Well it started with obama’s lock step, uncompromising democrats and the absolute power they had the first two years. Radical POS.

If the HNIC (both of them) can’t govern under division of powers as the constitution mandates, then it is they who are unfit for office. Their collective and accumulating whining about it only serves to prove the point.

Look at the way the attorney general of the United States was treated yesterday by a House committee.

The house has held you in contempt. Do you not realize what that word means? Why should they treat you any different than they did?

"Unprecedented, Unwarranted, Ugly and Divisive' Congress

LOL! Divisive? This guy is beyond belief.

This is the guy, who - literally days into Obama's 1st term - basicaly said that White America is a "nation of cowards" when it comes to race relations.

Holder should be impeached.

any AG that committed illegal acts would face the same, if not worse, treatment

hell, if he and his butt buddy weren’t pseudo-black they’d already be fired and on charges if not in prison for their roles in conspiracies to commit crimes that resulted in the deaths of many people.

most states have a rather stiff penalty for such crimes. (which is why he and his buddy are fighting so hard to cover up Benghazi and fast&furious)

The Attorney General is not elected. He is a government employee. Gohmert is an elected official. He represents the citizens of The United States. Holder therefore behaved with contempt towards the citizens of The United States. Holder should be fired or impeached.
