Here’s a nice alternative: Return to REAL free market system. Not the one we had before Obamacare.

Here's the only alternative:

REPEAL Obamacare, and pass legislation that would explicity prohibit the government from EVER trying to take over health insurance again.

I can dream, can't I?

“Congressman Ryan continues working with his colleagues, including reformers like Sen. Rubio, on better solutions to deliver quality, affordable coverage to American families,”

That’s not the FedGov’s mission. If they want to get involved, they can do “general welfare” changes like free up the markets to allow competition so private insurance providers and private insurance consumers can more freely do business in a more low cost health care environment.

But they should NEVER get directly involved via socialist or fascist policies.

Sen. Marco Rubio and Rep. Paul Ryan are collaborating on an Obamacare alternative

Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dumber. Can't wait to see what this looks like. Or, maybe I can.

I sincerely hope that Rand Paul will actually act like a libertarian during this process and say, “We’re going to allow the market and doctors make decisions, not the government.”

I distrust both of them. They are from the old Bob Michel wing of the party: “We’ll do what the Dems want, just, less of it and more slowly.” Screw that. Offer a free-market FIX. And if the country ends up voting Democrat, hey, so be it; at least we can say we OFFERED a true solution. At this rate I’ll likely be retiring in another country anyway (if at all).

Given that the states have never delegated to Congress, via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for public healthcare purposes, the first step of the Obamacare alternative being developed by RINOs Rubio and Ryan should be the following.

They need to rally Congress to propose a healthcare amendment to the Constitution to the states for ratification. And if the states choose to ratify their proposed amendment, then Congress will have the constitutional authority that it needs to legislatively address public healthcare issues and Rubio and Ryan will be heroes.
