GOP Leader Eric Cantor to Headline Liberal Republican Group’s Anti-Tea Party Conference
Right Wing News ^ | April 10, 2014 | John Hawkins

Posted on 04/10/2014 6:22:09 AM PDT by xzins

John Boehner was initially slated to attend the left-of-center Republican Mainstreet Partnership conference, but even he lost his nerve and backed out of an event run by a group funded by unions and George Soros that hates Tea Partiers. Apparently, the number two Republican in the House hates Tea Partiers even more than Boehner. Brent Bozell is calling him out on that — and I agree with what he’s saying.

Conservative leaders were stunned to learn that you will be headlining a conference in Florida this weekend that is, purely and simply, a direct attack on Tea Party conservatives. Worse still, this event is sponsored in part by ultra-liberal financier/activist George Soros and organized labor – both of which have openly, repeatedly – and often viciously – waged war on conservatives and Republicans for years.

What has possessed you to headline this event? Do you think so little of conservatives that you would directly insult them by attending?

Since Mitt Romney’s defeat in the 2012 presidential election a substantial rift has opened between the GOP’s congressional leadership and rank-and-file Republicans, grassroots conservatives and Tea Party supporters – the very activists who provided the energy, enthusiasm and mobilization that fueled the historic Republican victory in 2010 and gave you and your colleagues the House majority you hold today.

You would not be Majority Leader today but for Tea Party conservatives. And you’re headlining an event sponsored by a leftist organization committed to its destruction. As we head in to midterm elections later this year, it would seem incumbent upon Republican leaders to do everything they can to actually heal this rift. Instead you are widening it further.

It is our understanding that Speaker John Boehner had planned to attend but is no longer doing so. We expect no less from you. Attending this event shows you are siding with the Democrat donors, unions, and other Soros-backed groups who have contributed over $1 million to attack conservatives.

The Republican Mainstreet Partnership isn’t a group of good guys, they don’t mean well, and anyone affiliated with them is an enemy of conservatives. To help them raise money that will be used to defeat grassroots conservatives is unforgivable and it shows Cantor is unfit to lead.

Everyone says that the GOP must woo Hispanics, but if they’d put their own party back together again by wooing conservatives, they’d have more than enough votes to win.

Why do they not do that?

Only answer that makes sense is this: They vehemently reject the social conservative and small government positions and desperately want to turn left.

Communist Goals, 1963:

http://www.uhuh.com/nwo/communism/comgoals.htm

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

“Liberal”, “Progressive” - just another word for the same old crap.

The war is not between Republican and Democrat - it’s between “Liberal” and American.

RINOs are more danger to us than ever - they’re the treacherous chumps that unlock the gates and let the barbarians in in the middle of the night.

One party with 2 heads.

It truly is getting to the time when a third party must be given serious consideration. The last Romney campaign rewrote the party rules so favorably to the leftist republicans that it will require an overwhelming delegate victory by a conservative presidential candidate to rewrite them.

Better to steal the republican brand back from the liberals, but conservatives MUST coalesce around a single candidate early...even BEFORE the primary season.

And THIS is why I have decided that henceforth, I will vote for conservatives only, and will not vote for any Republicans.

Cantor is living proof that having elected Republican representatives who are dedicated to fighting the Tea Party agenda is no improvement over having a Democrat controlled congress.

In fact, if every RINO Republican loses to a Democrat, that is preferable — because it will prove once and for all that the Republican Party cannot win without promoting a conservative agenda and without the support of the conservative base.

Not uncommon. Two young men in my family who were generally conservative married raging liberals and have both been turned. One to the point of trading in his 4x4 pickup for a Prius and become a vegan. Both girls must be good at something.

Eric Cantor has stepped on a land mine, the kind that you hear go “Click!”, and you know you cannot ever step off it.

At least not without really, really serious consequence.

No to any RINO. Time and money (and votes) for Conservatives only. I’m tired of turncoat losers.

Cantor’s office is extremely touchy about this. I called Cantor’s & Boehner’s (before ‘the crier’ changed him mind)offices and here’s what I experienced with Cantor’s staff:

Cantor’s person that answered the phone was argumentative and wouldn’t let me get a word in edgewise!

He also said “just because he’s attending doesn’t mean he’s leading it.” I said “that is not the point! You don’t attend things you don’t believe in! Would you attend a Nazi party meeting whether or NOT you believed in it?” He told me that HIS beliefs and what he would attend are not any of my business so I explained it was AN EXAMPLE only and that by attending this event Cantor is admitting he believes in their goals.

He hung up on me after telling me that this is MY interpretation and has nothing to do with Eric Cantor’s beliefs or what he attends. WOW

It’s obvious the Democratic Party was able to infiltrate and sabotage the GOP with its own people. We use to laugh at that suggestion because that was a bunch of “conspiracy” talk. Is anyone laughing now? The Democrats are sitting ducks and they could be pulverised big time but GOP congressional leaders keep throwing them lifelines. It doesn’t make sense, but in reality it makes perfect sense. If Boehner and Cantor were real conservatives they would have had the entire house GOP in attack mode and the Democratic Party would have been reduced to a chewed over carcass by now.

Don’t forget that the old Rockefellar and Nixon republicans were pretty liberal in many areas, socially and fiscally. Nixon even implemented price controls. Neither of them opposed higher taxes as a means of balancing budgets.
